My old website still gets a lot of hits. But many of the outbound links I posted years back are no longer valid, are dead or have changed location. I want to take an Excel spreadsheet and just make it a dynamically sortable table I can put in a webpage or blog. I want people to be able to click a column, and have the table be sorted by that column. Best solutions? Also, if the table included locations, is it possible to make them selectable, and have the selected locations display on Google maps? Thanks.

I built a website for my business. I want to sell things from my website! My hosting has a CGI-BIN directory and will run scripts etc. What do I need to know to add a shopping cart function and sell goods? What e-commerce software would be easy to use and integrate into my site? Payment doesn't need to be automated, but I would like to be able to securely take credit card numbers for processing later, if possible. [more inside]

I'm going to start a site to petition a board to keep a local public official in office. I want the site to include facts about why he should stick around and links (obviously) this stuff can be done easily with Wordpress (as we learned yesterday), i'm guessing. But i also want to incorporate a petition that can keep some information private (like e-mail addresses) but make other information public (neighborhood, city, state). Ideally, I'd like to be able to print the content once the numbers get up. What's the best way for me to do that? [more inside]

My laptop recently got stolen and all of my website files where on it... I use a specific program to construct the site - it codes everything in Absolute positions on an X & Y pixel grid layout - the program I used however can not edit the files individually - you must have the native format of the pages that the program then turns into .html files.. is there a program however that I CAN edit the exiting files that are on my server with... so I dont have to rebuild the whole site? the web address is www.robertalbrecht.com Thanks...

I want to create a website which visitors can "annotate" with something more than a simple commenting system. Basically, I'm looking for Flickr's photo annotation capabilities, but for html documents instead of jpegs. My instincts say this could be accomplished with some fancy CSS and javascript, but I would prefer not to start from scratch if something already exists. Any ideas?
