Reading to complete before a technical interview (CSS, JS, HTML)?

I'm scheduled for a technical interview after the weekend for a front-end development position. I'd like to spend some intensive time beforehand reading relevant blogs and books to prime the ol' noodle and supplement my existing knowledge. Could you recommend some resources? Are there questions you would ask an applicant in this situation, or that you have been asked? [more inside]

How to divide a div into two triangles with Javascript?

Javascript question: I have a rectangular div. Imagine that div is divided from one corner to the other to make two right triangles. I would like to, on hover, have Javascript tell me which triangle my mouse is over. But my trigonometry powers are failing me, and Google is coming up short. Hope me, admin!

My Gut Is Saying "Run" but My Brain is Scared

I posted this question a few months back but would like to... ask again with a little more details. I bit the bullet and signed up for classes again, and after my first half day back, I'm now at home having a panic attack regarding my decision. I'm a historic preservation graduate student, and after a whole year of freaking out about what I want in life, all I really want is a job that pays well, or an incredibly marketable skill. I doubt I will get either with this degree. [more inside]

Enable Facebook Comments for mobile viewing in Google Blogger?

Is there a way to enable Facebook Comments Box for mobile viewing in Google Blogger? I used these instructions to enable Facebook comments on my blog. It worked out, but it's not showing up in the mobile view. This site discusses how to add a widget to the Blogger Mobile Template. The Facebook Comments Box is not exactly a widget. I imagine there's probably a solution to getting it to appear in the mobile view, similiar to this, but I don't know how to do it. Is there a way to add something like this (mobile='yes') to the plugin code?

What IDEs / editors do you use for web development?

What IDEs, editors, or general tools do people use to do web development? I'm a linux geek, so my tool of choice is gVim. But I'm teaching a course on this right now and don't want to inflict my prejudices on the students, and I'd like a broader perspective. So if you're a web developer, what do you use? NetBeans, Notepad? Something in-between?

Web coding questions

Two webcoding questions: 1) What is the web coding name for hiding/revealing text without reloading a page? For instance, on this page you can see "Continue Reading" and "Hide this News Article" as toggles. They appear to be doing it with javascript. What is this called and are there simple free coding samples available for me to use? 2) Are there any free plugins that I can use on a blog to play audio samples? Something similar to what's used in MuFi or Wordpress's audio streamer, but without needing Wordpress. Thanks!
