Should my resume say Lead Engineer or Senior Software Engineer?

I'm a Software Engineer who's looking for a new job. The titles at my current job are a bit fluid. I could conceivably be called a Lead Engineer or a Senior Software Engineer. What should I put on my resume? [more inside]

Thanks for the job, so about my pay grade

I'm an archivist at a large university in the USA. I've been at my current job for a few months now and it's my first archives job since I finished my master's degree. I am the first degree-holding archivist they ever hired. Before very recently, all the archivists at my department had been part-time students in the master's degree program here. One other archivist stayed on for a few months after she graduated last year. Whenever she finished her degree, she was given some kind of promotion or reclassification because of it. She was still a part-time hourly worker, but was being paid twice as much as the rest of us. What could that mean for me? [more inside]

Potential Paths for a 30 Year-Old Career Changer

I'm a 30 year old with a BA in psychology working at a bank and hoping to find a new career. I'm trying to find a career path that will give me a decent living without being a workaholic. I am willing to go back to school, but hopefully not for more than 2 or so years. I am willing to take on some debt, but not a ton. I am considering 1. Human Resources 2. Accounting 3. IT / Something with computers 4. Any other good suggestions. Are any of these a good change for someone my age? I don't want to go back to school only to find out that the field is bad for non 20-somethings. How are prospects for entry-level workers? (I have looked at "official" projections, but would welcome any insider knowledge). Is there anything else that I should consider? [more inside]

Should I go work for one company (1-2 month) while waiting for another company's offer?

Should I accept the offer from company "A", knowing full well that I would go work for company "B" in 1-2 month? I'm sure 99% that B's offer will come, but should I do this as a way of hedging my bets? [more inside]

How do I come up with effective IT policies?

My organization has tapped me to write and define IT policies and procedures. What are some examples of level-headed policies I can show them and won't turn us into one of those organizations where people end up tunneling to their home computers to check their gmail? [more inside]

ASP or ColdFusion job posting tools

Does anyone have a recommendation for a job posting/administration application that uses either ASP or ColdFusion? I'm looking to implement something that will allow users to search jobs and submit their resume and will allow the HR department to post, edit, and delete jobs.
