Are there any books/guides/tutorials out there on medieval drawing techniques? (I mean this kind of thing.) Ideally it would have some kind of step-by-step for a basic illustration.
Because of the nature of our wedding venue, I will be going solo on my wedding hair and makeup. Fortunately, I have loads of time to practice. Unfortunately, given my current skill and knowledge level, an eternity may not afford enough practice time to get me where I need to be. What are the best resources for the absolute beginner to learn techniques and how-tos for wedding hair and makeup? [more inside]

How can I make a video like this one for Cee-lo Green's Fuck You? What kind of program(s) would I need? Are there any tutorials? Any terms for what this is called would be helpful too, because my googling has been rather unsuccessful. Thanks!
I'm a girl with very fine, very straight, waist-length hair and for the past few weeks I've been abiding by a self-imposed rule where I do not wear it the same way two days in a row. I'm looking for ideas for hair-styles and, preferably, links to videos that explain how to do them. [more inside]

Good lovin--what's a good basic book on s-e-x? I would like to improve, but don't really want to break out the whipped cream and riding crop, or get all kama sutra. I am a monogamous hetero male who has only had one partner, and I don't think she would be into accessories.
Why is it so damn complicated to convert between video formats? This afternoon I went on vcdhelp.com to find out how to convert AVI to SVCD and the simplest tutorial involved six different tools and unbelievably many settings. How come nobody has written something to do it in one step? Can it really not be automated?
