On a Mac, is there a way to change a filename in Finder *other than* hovering/mousing over the filename and clicking until the name field becomes editable?

How to divide a div into two triangles with Javascript?

Javascript question: I have a rectangular div. Imagine that div is divided from one corner to the other to make two right triangles. I would like to, on hover, have Javascript tell me which triangle my mouse is over. But my trigonometry powers are failing me, and Google is coming up short. Hope me, admin!

In particular, I'd like to either have them show up when hovering over the document in Finder (that is, use them as Help Tags), or have them show up in the Preview pane. [more inside]
