Each year in the fall, my DH and I go to Ireland for his business meetings. These meetings last 3-4 days and then he takes 3 days of vacation and we go somewhere else in Europe. We have gone to Paris, the west coast of Ireland, Scotland and here is my question: When you have only 3 days, what would be the best plan of attack? [more inside]

Thanks to advice here on the green, I have sorted out my transportation logistics for getting to the World Cup. Before and after the Paraguay vs. Trinidad game, I will be visiting Paris, Florence, and Madrid for a few days each. Where should we stay? I don't mind paying $200-$300 a night. Just looking for some nice hotels in good locations for people who don't speak the local languages.

So I'm going to Europe, and I'll be in Budapest, Vienna and Munich for about 2-3 days each in mid-July. Good fun, but I have nowhere to stay, and I've never been to the latter two before. [more inside]
