In order to avoid involvement in the general wedding preparations, I selflessly offered to book our entire honeymoon as a surprise. The plan is to spend 3 weeks in August touring the North-Eastern states. So far, however, I have only managed to book flights from England to New York and back. I now have 2 flights, 3 weeks apart, and a big void between them. After exhaustive research on this site, tripadvisor and others, I am just exhausted. San Francisco Honeymoon. My wife and I are going to San Francisco for the first leg of our honeymoon. Neither of us has ever been there. Where should we stay and what should we do? I don't mind paying $300+ for a hotel room, and would like to be within walking distance of cool things to do. Union Square area? Should we rent a car and drive out to the Muir Woods? So, after much research, we have decided to go to Hawaii for our honeymoon. I have already been to Oahu and was not too impressed. But everyone is telling me that the other islands are far superior.
