Getting tape residue off windows, and holding broken ones up?

Best way to get duct tape residue off windows, and how to hold broken car windows up? My gf's car is in some real crap shape. I'd love to surprise her one day and clean it up, specifically her windows. Her front driver and back passenger windows don't work and have to be held up. She's been using duct tape for over a year to do it, we still just can't quite afford the fix.

After a year of reapplying duct tape on a regular basis, the windows are covered in baked-on adhesive, it's actual a bit of a safety concern too. What's the best way to get that stuff off and clean them up nice and clear?

And is there a stronger non-permanent solution for holding the windows up? Even w/ tons of duct tape they fall over time or at a big bump. I don't mind the tape solution, I just wish it would hold better and for longer so we didn't have to reapply it every other week.

It's a 2000 Pontiac Grand Prix if that helps. Also, I am completely allergic to working on cars for the record.

Can we get to our money?

We deposited two USD checks to open a new Scotiabank account that are being held for quite a long time. Is there any way we can reduce the hold time? We just moved from the US and opened an account last week. We had two checks - US Govt. issued, from a Stafford loan - that we deposited in a USD account as an initial deposit. We heard that there might be a "maximum" hold time of a month, but we made the deposit anyway.

Well, turns out that's the hold time, and we really need to be able to access our money sooner than that. I've dealt with management at our branch, and they say nothing can be done. Has anyone experienced anything otherwise? Would it be possible for us to have the issuer contact the bank, or something similar?

Help me find on hold music for my company. My company recently asked me to come up with suggestions for on hold music. So far we have come up with:

Call me - Blondie
Hanging on the telephone - Blondie
Hold me - Fleetwood mac/savage garden

oh and

Never gonna give you up - Rick Astley (Yay! Rickroll)

So give me your best witty on hold suggestions!

Help me find a good hairspray

I need a good hairspray that holds but is not stiff I have long, very thick, very straight hair. I do have layers in it to take some of the weight off my head and neck. My problem is when I curl it, within an hour it is straight again. I have used a number of different types of mousse but it still won't hold the curl. I generally do not like hairspray of any kind because it makes my hair stiff. Is there a hairspray that will help hold the curls and still have touchable, movable hair? If not hairspray then some other kind of styling product would be great.

Why does my cell phone break up when I have hold music?

Why does my cell phone break up when I have hold music? I have the LG enV cellphone with Verizon service in the US. I can hear fine when I am talking to someone, but as soon as I get hold music, the line cuts in and out, sometimes cutting the hold music so low that I can't tell it is there. This even happens if I put my mic on mute. It does not seem to matter if I am using a headset or not.

Can you suggest what might fix this and/or what is causing it?

HP Tech Support Hold Music?

Does anyone know who performs or where I can download an MP3 of the Guitar riff/song that is played on hold for HP Technical Support? You know, when you call HP Server support and are transfered twenty times and every time you are, you hear that gentle, soothing strum? I want that for my Windows startup song and would really like an MP3 of it. Please help.

Is there a book like "Bobby Fischer Teaches Chess" for No Limit Texas Hold 'Em? There are tons of chess books, and tons of poker books, but for my money that little paperback workbook improved my chess game more than any other.

I've read a few introductory books on poker, and am starting to get the hang of it, but I'd really like to see a workbook with scenarios to work through, with explanations of when to bet and when to check or fold on the answer page.

Changed iPod battery and can't unlock it...

The good news: I successfully changed the battery on my 3G iPod. The bad news: the hold button's locked... I installed iPod updater prior to the battery swap and everything worked. Swapped out the battery with little effort and charged it for four and a half hours.

Reopened it to make sure the hard drive was connected properly and closed it. Turned it on, synced up with iTunes and all looked well. But the hold button/lock icon is displayed. I can't use the wheel or buttons. It'll charge, display and sync up but I can't unlock it. Can I do this via iTunes or some other way?
