Where to stay each night after a day's walking in Cornwall?

I am trying to organize a solo, self-guided walking trip to bits of coastal Cornwall for late August and am having trouble planning a 6- to 8-day itinerary that has me end a day's walk where there's budget accommodation like hostels/backpackers/campsites. [more inside]

West Highland Way: a fun use of free time in Scotland?

Scotland vacation: I have 4 days to kill between work events in London and Glasgow, and I'm considering walking part of the West Highland Way by myself. Is this a reasonable plan, or do you have a better suggestion of how to use this time (ie other long distance walks or other plans entirely)? [more inside]

I want a better jacket for the rainy uk

JacketFilter: I live in the UK where it rains all the time, but I like to hike and bike so I'd like to upgrade my jacket to one with features that let one stay cool while active (such as breathable fabric and pit/core zips), but still has many pockets. [mi] [more inside]
