I believe I may suffer from a derth of artistic and intellectual heroes. Help me fix that. What artists and thinkers are worth engaging with fully as an adult?
By "engaging with fully," I mean making a concerted effort to consume all of their output, several times, as well as seeking out supplementary information about them by way of interviews, criticism, documentaries, collected letters, biographies, etc. etc.

Okay, so there was this show (maybe on the USA network?) around 1990-ish, maybe. The premise was that a former superspy/secret-agent/hero had retired to the suburbs, and his former archnemesis moves into the house next door. They're still kind of enemies, but in a Simpsons/Flanders "friendly" way, instead of trying to kill each other like they used to. What is this show?

I'd like to take my smartphone (HTC Hero) with me when I'm cycling and use it as a trip computer. Problem: I'm nervous that I'll be taking it home in pieces. Are there any smartphone bike mounts that will secure my Hero to the bike as well as protect it in the event that I crash?

Trying to find a fiction fantasy book that has an average protagonist that loses his gold and ends up traveling to another city to avoid issues with the lost gold. The book is apart of a series and features aqueducts, the antagonists as vampires, and the book title looks like some kind of deviation on the word Aqueduct, like Aquadia or such.

My Guitar Hero drum's kick pedal is dead. I looked online but there are a
lot of options and mixed reviews for most of what I found.
What's the best mix of frugality and "not going to die on me"-ality that I can find? I'm not opposed to buying an entire new set if that makes more sense.

Hey, I'm interested in finding sites that discuss the positive and negative aspects of Che Guevara as a historical figure. They don't necessarily have to be ambivalent; editorials are definitely ok and might even be better since I'm interested more in the debate itself rather than specific historical facts. Examples might look like
this or

My senior class voted me 'most likely to be a super villain' for the superlative section of the yearbook. I need to throw something together to wear in the picture, and I was hoping someone could help me. People are expecting me to come up with something really good, and everything I can think of is a little mediocre.
Can you guys think of anything funny/ cool for a high school girl dressing up as a super villain?
Thanks!

Received Guitar Hero III for xmas and wanted an extra controller. I've noticed they don't sell individual controllers marketed for the PS3 but there are separate guitars marketed for PS2. Has anyone tried any of these? Do they actually work for PS3?
I've been reading some reviews and some people comment that when a second controller is added the buttons work but it doesn't generate sound.

I'm having a party on Nov 11th to celebrate the release of
Guitar Hero 2 and to rock out to new songs with my friends. I was thinking it might be cool to hang up some fake flyers for my in-game band (Della Rhesus Monkey) around my place for flavor. I have no idea how to go about it, though. I have access to Photoshop, but have very little skill in it. How best to capture that "crappy local band flyer" feeling? Any other suggestions on how to add some nice flavor to the party? (I already have a wig and leather wristbands.)

Normally, I'm not a big fan of historical or period films, but lately I've been enjoying a few. Recently, I watched
Braveheart and
Gladiator, and now I'm wondering if anybody has any suggestions. I do enjoy epics, and I don't mind older films, so any ideas would be welcome. What historical hero movies do you recommend?
