Pork problems - I just found out that a pork butt is really a shoulder. I'm living in Germany, and I asked for a pork butt using the German "hinterschinken" and pointing at my own butt for reference. The butcher asked her boss, then went into the back and pulled out a piece and sold it to me. Now I'm pretty sure I have the wrong cut of meat for the carnitas I'm making tomorrow, so I went out and got an actual shoulder. Now my question is - what do I do with the actual butt piece I now have? Is this a ham? Obviously, I'm pretty clueless when it comes to meat cuts. Please help me make my mistake delicious.

I can't remember the title, author, or any of the character names for a steampunk-ish book I read a while ago. The main character was the estranged son of a duchess or something like that. There were airships, magic, a few dragons. It was a bit Victorian as well. I remember how it started but much searching hasn't turned it up. It's driving me mad! [more inside]

Ok, so I've been having this problem lately (and I think it's related to my recent depression) where I meet new people and kind of expect that I'll never develop any friendship with them, but then it actually does happen, and I realize in horror that when they bring up previous conversations we've had, I act completely clueless because I didn't bother to remember it in the first place, and they say something like, "Remember we were talking about how my mom lives literally right next door to you?" (seriously, that happened today) and I remember suddenly, but clearly have already made it obvious that I didn't remember it in the first place... That's been happening a lot lately, and I want to know how to recall what I talked about with people more. [more inside]

I cannot figure out why printing recipe cards is so hard? I purchased the Avery 8386. to print 4x6 recipes for my box. Online, I found a random template for 4x6 recipe cards( I could not find any cool ones). Then I go and copy my recipe and go to paste it on the template and it doesn't paste *INTO* the template (on the lines would be my first choice), it pastes outside the boarders of the recipe card template. I'm hoping to create my new recipe box and print the recipes I use online right onto the cute card but maybe it is too perfect and easy. It is hilarious how difficult something so easy can be! Maybe I'm missing something super obvious but I have asked a bunch of people and....here I am! Help !

I came home to my ceiling leaking brown water this evening. After a few phone calls from me to the 24/7 answering service my landlord has set up, a maintenance man finally showed up. He deduced that the hot water pipes in the floor between my ceiling an my neighbor to the north's floor had burst.
Meanwhile my counters, appliances drywall ceiling/wall/electrical outlets/lights and wood floors are soaked. The maintenance man said he turned off the water flow to the burst pipe, and said he would return tomorrow to ensure the walls/ceiling had dried, but I'm not comfortable with that response --- I feel that all of the waterlogged drywall/floor should be replaced and the appliances should be replaced.
What do I do? Should I call a lawyer? Should I write/mail a certified letter to the landlord?
I'd like action now, but feel like I'm being out by the wayside. Please help!

I'm a recent college graduate and long time depression sufferer. Now I've suddenly been cast out into the "real world" with no directed day-to-day course of action and I'm feeling lost and needing help. Currently near by the San Francisco Bay Area, I'm needing to settle down soon to make some money and also receive the mental health care that I believe I need. The problem is that I'm totally broke. Any practical advice on breaking a stubborn depression when you're not made of money would be sincerely appreciated. [more inside]

When trying to read a Sandisk 16Gb Class 2 Micro SD card (on my Win7 PC through a USB reader) it will show up briefly but as soon as I try to copy any files the drive itself will disappear, meaning I can't save any of the data (or pics) from it, so I'm looking for a way to keep the drive visible to my PC so I can save the data. (The card comes from my Android HTC Desire HD which randomly dismounted itself this morning and now reports itself as 'damaged' in the phone). Any help would be greatly appreciated - thanks in advance!

Help me find a song! It was on Sirius radio on July 23, between 10am and 3pm mountain time. It was a female singer singing over what sounded like a very Pet Sounds-like arrangement. She sounded like Joni Mitchell to me. (Maybe it was Joni Mitchell!) The song also sounded very familiar. I thought it was Both Siders, Now, but I listened to that song again and that's just guitar. This song sounded just a little more upbeat, more poppy, but equally as beautiful. Any ideas?

Can someone please suggest a cognitive behavioral therapist in Chicago that they have found to be helpful? I tried talk therapy once with a non CBT person and found it cliched and unhelpful, but I suspect I really should go seek assistance. I have the usual bento box of depression and anxiety, male 30s/40s.
Unemployed (not the source of depression anxiety, but certainly not helping), so bonus for sliding scale.
Bonus for Oak Park/River Forest/ Forest Park.

Need some advice please.
I tried to install a new Power supply in my 2 year Old Dell PC in anticipation of installing a new Hi Spec Graphics card. Did all the necessary connections (I think) except connecting up the Sata cable to the Optical Disc drive (It wouldn't reach, I'll come to that in a minute).
Powered it up, nothing. I noticed a light came on, on the motherboard (so It's getting power right??)
Took out the power supply, refitted the old one and it all works.
1.Does not attaching the Sata cable to the optical drive matter??
2.Can I buy a Sata cable extension??
3.Is the light (showing on the motherboard) indicative of the Power supply working??
4,Is it possible that the new power supply is not functioning???
5.Is there something really obvious I'm missing??
Any help advice would be gratefully accepted, thanks
