My LaCie brand external hard drive is in the process of failing. It's making clicking sounds, it's slowed down considerably, and I think the head is failing. It contains a film project we've worked extremely hard on, and it's important to me that we save the data.

I've Googled this 20 different ways and still can't find an answer. I made a FaceBook fan page for my friend's business. For some reason, the only way people can see this page is when they are logged into FaceBook. I know other businesses have their fan pages somehow visible to the public (so that people don't have to log into FB to see it). All of my setting are set to "everyone". Any idea how to make this page visible to everyone without requiring them to log in?

I'm trying to figure out my options for setting up a small digital media lab for a new non-profit, but I have no idea how to set a minimum level of server specs! How much CPU and RAM do I really need? What determines this?
The server will be used to administer local user accounts, and store files (including large media files). We may also end up using it to host our website and mail, if it makes sense (unlikely). All the main client computers will be macs, so I assume I should make life easier and just get an XServe. But I'm open to other suggestions.
See below for some prices and models for various XServe's I'm trying to choose between. How low can I go? How much CPU/RAM do I need?
Let me know if you need more information...

I have an external usb drive running off my Windows 7 computer. It keeps switching back to Read-Only, so when I try to send files to it, it merely appends a file and adds a number to its name, instead of re-writing the entire file. I've tried to change it back, but it does not stay changed. The minute I refresh the page, the read-only status comes back! Is there some setting I'm missing? Is there something in Windows 7 that's causing this to happen?

MS Excel Problem: CAN ANYONE PLEASE HELP?
I am a very average PC user having unable to open spreadsheets. I borrowed a copy of MS Office Professional from a friend, but it did not install Excel properly. I no longer have access to those installation CDs. Whenever I try to open a spreadsheet, it prompts me for the CD's. So I bought Excel 97, installed it fine, but still when I try o open a spreadsheet it automatically tries to open it with the XP Professional version... How so I get around this to just use the Excel 97 version now on my computer??
