Movie calendars from Ogden Theater in Denver in the 80s.

These were printed schedules, I think four color, listing the monthly movie schedule for the Ogden Theater in Denver in the 80s. They were everywhere at the time, and are apparently nowhere now. But there must be some floating around somewhere, scanned or no, and I need them. It's, um, an emergency. Yeah, emergency! [more inside]

I am trying to buy a very specific fife.

I was listening to the song Monkey by Harry Belafonte. For a variety of reasons I need to get a fife like the one being played at the start of that song. Mainly for playing while I prance around my house. It is major keyed and very high pitched. Please help me find this fife. How to stop my narcissistic sibling from ruining holidays/reunions?

I am having a problem with a family member - my brother. When I am around my brother, he makes cynical, negative and sarcastic comments about other family members and I hate it. He is in his late fifties and is an accomplished individual with a good job, so he has no excuse for his behavior. We have a family reunion coming up, and I (and others) are worried - some don't even want to go because of him. What can we do to make sure the vacation (among other holidays) isn't sabotaged by his negativity? Details inside. [more inside]

No! Wait! COME BACK iPhone voice memos! Come back!

I have years and years of iPhone voice memos of my kids telling stories and singing songs, since they were toddlers. Or, should I say, I had them. Somehow, when I checked today, I had THREE. THREE! Where are the rest of my voice files with my then-two-year-old telling me ghost stories? My then-six-year-old singing original compositions? These files! They are irreplaceable! They are also, in theory, religiously backed up. [more inside]

Crazy, creative ideas for bedrest AKA solitary confinement

Broke NC yesterday after five days straight of MD-ordered bedrest - and after texting and calling everyone I knew, including my grandma - twice. Any practical tangible ideas for how to maintain NC and my sanity, oh and I don't know, my health? Any and all welcome. Thanks. [more inside]

Struggling to Help in a Difficult Family Situation

My brother is in his late thirties, has no job, lives in rural Alabama, is on probation for a while after spending a year in prison, is a registered sex offender, and is a (hopefully) recovering addict. He is still living off my parents, who are at a loss to find a way for him to get a job. The state of Alabama has some incredibly strict limitations on what registered sex offenders can do, which makes dealing with the stigma even more difficult when trying to find employment. Help me come up with suggestions for a job for him. [more inside]

The baby/toddler next door screams more than what I think is normal

In the evenings, there's a deep male voice that yells, "stop it!", "be quiet!", "NO!", multiple times, and there are really loud banging noises along with this. One day when I walked past their door, there was a woman putting boxes outside who looked exhausted. I said Hi and she barely acknowledged me. When the guy gets excessively loud - like just now - I'll yell, "WHAT THE FUCK!?" to try to let them know I can hear them, but the kid just keeps screaming. [more inside]
