There will be a 12-14 hour train ride tomorrow, during daylight hours in America, for two adults. What should we pack to take with us to eat that is small and healthy? No cooler will be taken. We can visit a grocery store today. There is no local Trader Joe's.

I live with a group of friends and we all take it in turns to cook dinner one day of the night, which usually consists of lasagne, pasta, rice etc.
I am wondering if I could lose weight if I ate low carb for breakfast and lunch, and then ate dinner that is prepared by my housemates?

I am starting a new corporate job in the city next week after working in a casual semi-rural office for the past 2 years, where I could make toast for breakfast whenever I felt like it. I can't eat within the first hour of waking up so am looking for some great breakfast smoothies/drinks I can make that I can drink on the train to work that will actually fill me up until lunch time.

Are there any studies (links) out there that compare the fast food of today with that of fast food from 10, 20, or even 30 years ago? I was discussing this issue with a friend and we were wondering whether or not a McDonald's Big Mac in 2011 is worse than a Big Mac from 1980. Any studies or links need not be limited to just McDonalds or the Big Mac, though it would settle our argument.

I get a tingling sensation in my jaw and mouth for a second or two whenever I begin eating any type of food. This especially happens when I have not eaten anything in a while and/r if the food has a lot of flavour. I call it "flavour explosion" out loud every time it happens and my girlfriend is starting to look at me strangely. Does anybody have a similar thing happen to them or know what this could be?
