I'm looking for a pair of in-ear headphones that include a physical Mute button for the microphone. Any suggestions? [more inside]
iPhone was working this morning without incident. This afternoon, with headphones in, my phone is randomly turning down the volume, all the way down to mute sometimes. The issue is slightly better, but not completely, when I take off my Mophie case. Neither of my volume buttons seem to be broken. [more inside]
My latest annoyance is that this used iPhone 4s that I bought has the headphone jack on the top. This makes getting it in and out of my jacket pocket and holding it annoying for me. And I can't just turn the phone upside down like an iPad does. Is there such thing as a case that either replicates the headphone jack on the bottom, or has its own built-in headphones originating from the bottom? I found this one but the headphone cord still comes out of the top. Alternatively, recommendations for bluetooth headphones that have comparable good battery life and sound quality to the plugged-in kind.
I've been thinking about building this little Altoid tin headphone amp kit for listening with my Sennheiser 555s. Granted, the point of building the kit is, well, building the kit--but given the limitations of a (cheap) kit-built design and the fact that I listen exclusively to mp3s on my iPhone or Mac, will there be a perceptible improvement in sound from the cans? Is there more to the sound of my mp3s that I might not be hearing just driving the Sennheisers with the juice from the iPhone's or Mac's headphone jack that would merit stepping up the signal with the little amp?

All iPhone / mobile headphone reviews go into (sometimes) excruciating detail about the sound qualities and quality of the headset, but I've found very few that actually talk about the mic quality. So I ask: are there candidates for "best mic"?

I’ve just started using my first PDA/Smartphone (Blackberry 8820) and I need some recommendations for a headset.
