Car-filter: how useful are dynamic / adaptive headlights (the ones that swivel when you turn)? Why do they appear to be going out of fashion?

I have a 2007 Audi A4 and I would like to replace my factory headlights with led headlights like those found on newer modals. Anyone know the how best to go about doing this or where online I could find these for purchase?
A picture of the headlights I'm looking for.

I have a 2006 V6 Sonata, last night I was driving and when using my high beam headlights they would stay bright and then dim then brighten up again all along my hour long drive. The headlights did not do this on regular beam (no dimming on this setting). The battery has not been replaced since I have had this car, but I didn't know if it could be the battery, alternator, headlights or something else entirely?

The headlights on my 2004 Dodge Durango randomly blink out for a few seconds while I'm driving. As you can imagine, this is a bit unnerving, not to mention dangerous, on a dark road at night. It is not consistent. It may happen a few times one night, then not again for a week. I do not have the automatic headlight feature. It does not seem to be connected to using the brakes, or turn signals, or anything like that. It's not even connected to moving as it has happened while the truck is not in motion. The 2nd generation Durango's do not have a headlight relay, which was my first thought on a part to check. The lights are apparently digitally controlled. I took it into the dealer and of course, the damn lights wouldn't act up there and the on board computer is not reporting any error codes, so the dealer didn't do anything but overcharge me for an oil change and tire rotation.
I'm worried the lights will go out for good at a very inopportune time, like on one of our two trips in the next month. Has anybody had this problem, or have a guess as to where I should be looking for the cause?

My 2001 Toyota Corolla has spontaneously developed a problem: the front and rear fog lights
never turn off, even when the key is out of the ignition. A good mechanic was recommended to me, but he won't be able to see me for several weeks. He warned me to expect to spend $200 minimum. Is there anything I can do in the meantime to try to solve this myself?

I've noticed that many cars seem to have headlights that change colour depending on angle. Is this deliberate or unintentional, and how do I avoid buying bulbs that do this?

Why was the U.S. so late in dropping incandescent sealed beam headlights on cars in favor of composite headlights (which feature separate bulb and lens).

It seems that taillights have evolved rather radically from their humble origins, now featuring LED configurations spanning cars' entire back ends. Why hasn't this kind of innovation been seen with headlights?

What's the deal with the three rounded-cone-shaped bumps on the exterior surface of plastic headlight covers [lenses?]? (The grid-patterned kind of headlight lenses, not the new superbright ones.)
