Lots of websites have headers/footers that block text below them, but when you hit page down, they act as if the entire page was visible and go too far. The headers are often blog headers, the footers are often "share this" kind of footers. How do I make PageUp/PageDown work properly? This is a problem for both Firefox and Chrome, but I use Firefox mostly, in Windows. [more inside]

Hi AskMeFi. Can someone tell me how to combine 350 text files into one large text file so that the original filenames and dates
are included above (or below) each entry? I'm using Vista Home Premium and they are all generic .txt files. I'm moving all of my notes into Evernote but want to save the names and dates of the individual txt files.

I am trying to create a professional looking logo for a Web site. I am using GIMP but finding I am very limited in terms of what I can do with it. Is there a software package that I should be using that will allow me to create a good looking logo/header image? I understand Photoshop is the best however, it's really expensive (700.00). Are there any software alternatives or do I just have to pony up for Photoshop?
By the way, I have a PC.

We have an exim email server that is appending our computer names and ip addresses to all email headers. How can we override this so the server's host name and ip address is the only identification listed in the header? [more inside]

Word 2003: I was working on a document that had headers and footers, and something unexplained happened causing them to disappear. No big deal; but now, every time I open Word, the default view is sans header and footer: ie the view of the page (print layout) is almost as tall as it is wide. How do I get it back to what it was (full A4 size)? [more inside]

Wordpress Filter: Can I use a click-map on my header graphic for navigation instead of the text-only navbar that Wordpress makes you use?
I have a new blog I'm starting and I would like to make my navigation links for each "PAGE" show up on my header graphic. However, I want to make them graphical to fit the theme of the header page. Is there a way to hide the text from the native navbar and make clickable links that are on my header file? [more inside]

What's with Adobe Acrobat Professional - and not being able to put my custom page / section numbers into the header / footer? Did I miss a meeting? Why has no one else posed this question to the Googles? Is there a 3rd party plug-in that does this? Surely somebody knows something?! [more inside]

Email forwarding problem within the domain: Trying to fix my boss's email account. He checks his email using Netscape 7.2 on a Win98 PC. (We can't convince him to upgrade). He can send mail and reply to mail fine. He can forward mail fine, except when it is to one of use within the same domain name. It appears to send successfully but never shows up. I've tried looking through the email headers but nothing sticks out and I don't relaly know what to look for. Was wondering if this situation rings a bell for anyone?

Spam-a-lot: Are there spam filters that can reject phony "Mail returned" virus e-mails by comparing the "failed" address to what you've actually sent? Such hoaxes are dominating my daily spam quotient, despite my use of spam-blocker Razor. But it seems like these would be easy enough for a program to detect.
