I'm shopping for an HDTV, and might have lucked into an excellent deal on a Panasonic TH-50PF30U "digital signage display". Help me understand the difference between a consumer plasma HDTV and a
digital signage plasma HDTV, because this is the first time I've heard of the latter.

I would like to buy a home entertainment system. I would like to listen to music, watch television, movies, and play videogames. I would like to have Netflix. I would like to stream media from my network or the cloud. I want great sound but I am not an audiophile, although I am not averse to spending a lot on speakers. I do not want to spend more than 8 hours doing research. I will spend up to $2500-$3000. How do I attack this problem? Can you recommend specific TV's, receivers, speakers, or stuff like a Roku box? Can you recommend sites that provide easy to understand, objective reviews of equipment like
TelevisionInfo? I do not want to hit the forums if I don't have to. Can you recommend specific configurations of equipment or point me to sites that supply this information. I feel like if I don't get pointed in the right direction, I am going to over analyze this and spend far too much time that I don't have. I just want a rocking home entertainment solution for my family that I won't want to upgrade a week later.

Why does white on a TV screen cause audible buzzing noise?
It's obvious more on an all-white screen, but even small amounts like captions. It seems like it's been this way for decades, through CRT and on to plasma HDTV screens.

Looking for a good flatscreen TV, 42" or thereabouts... and white. I haven't been able to find anything that size that isn't in industry-standard black. Any suggestions?

Best HDMI switcher out there?
(plasma TV only has one port) I'd like at least three, maybe four ports. Remote control not really necessary, I'd like to have maximum image quality though and I can spend, within reason, to obtain it. I see they're all between 50 and 100 dollars, maybe there are some known lemons out there? Maybe there's a kickass brand? Thanks.

LCD - PLASMA TV FILTER: I am in the market for a Flat Screen HDTV. I would LIKE to stay at 1000 bucks or below (I could probably move up to 1300 if the extra cash brought in a big leap in quality). What is the best option on the market for a 40+ inch LCD or Plasma TV for around 1000 bucks?

Are the display artifacts I'm seeing in our plasma screen due to the low broadcast resolution, or due the the tv itself?
