Can you help me ID and replace this piece of my dresser drawer slide?

When moving this weekend, I broke my dresser (sad trombone). I tried to take the drawers out to make them easier to move, but they have these little brackets with ball bearings in them that are lubricated and make the drawer slide in the track. I tried poking around online but I can't figure out where to get new ones… or even what I'm looking for is called. [more inside]

How to cut traces and wire jumpers on Arduino Shield PCB

I'm a total hardware engineering noob who's getting into Arduino development. I have an Electric Imp connected to the Arduino via a shield, which works great. However, I've added another shield that conflicts with the pins that are used by the Electric Imp for software serial IO. The Imp shield says that I can cut a trace and wire a jumper to use hardware serial on two open ports instead. I've never done this before – can someone give explicit steps as to what I need to do? Do I need a new computer power supply, or can I fix this one?

I have a 650W power supply in my computer that I installed myself back when I asked this question (scroll through the answers on that for most system specs). Searching for a server rack/cabinet…

At my place of employment, I have been charged with physically securing our two servers. The decision has been made to bolt them to the concrete floor in a cage. I don't know how to shop for a server rack. We have an old one that they're on now, but it's an open rack, without sides or locks. I need one that's more of a cage, to keep people without the key out. It'll have to fit at least 8U worth of servers, and also accommodate a midsized tower somehow, and be 1000mm deep minimum. How do I shop for this? I can't find any information on whether any of the racks I'm looking at are bolt downable.

Re-upgrading a home computer for Revit

A little over a year ago, I posted this question about upgrading my home computer to be able to run Revit. I successfully monkeyed with my box to be able to run Revit 2012, but now my firm has upgraded me to Revit 2013, for which my video card no longer works properly. The major complication now is that I got the only video card I could find that worked with Revit and fit my motherboard, so this time it won't be as simple as just switching out the card. What's my best course of action to remedy the current situation? Technical stuff, specs and further questions after the jump. [more inside]

Seeking Hardware: Articulated Joints

I'm wanting to build a sculpture armature for small-to-medium-sized clay work. It'll be pretty typical, except that I want the horizontal support arm to have two articulated, lockable joints so I can easily reposition a sculpture while I'm working on it. I was picturing three long, thin bolts of a few inches length screwed on to some kind of joint with a wingnut. I've looked at hardware stores but haven't found anything like this and I'm not sure how to articulate what I need. [more inside]
