A little over a year ago, I posted
this question about upgrading my home computer to be able to run Revit. I successfully monkeyed with my box to be able to run Revit 2012, but now my firm has upgraded me to Revit 2013, for which my video card no longer works properly. The major complication now is that I got the only video card I could find that worked with Revit and fit my motherboard, so this time it won't be as simple as just switching out the card. What's my best course of action to remedy the current situation? Technical stuff, specs and further questions after the jump.

About a year and a half ago my graphics card crapped out. I'd like to replace it at a level where I can play modern games again, but not necessarily at the highest graphics setting. I've never replaced a graphics card before, so I'm not sure what I'm looking for in terms of purchasing and installation. Specs for my system inside...

I'm wanting to build a sculpture armature for small-to-medium-sized clay work. It'll be pretty typical, except that I want the horizontal support arm to have two articulated, lockable joints so I can easily reposition a sculpture while I'm working on it. I was picturing three long, thin bolts of a few inches length screwed on to some kind of joint with a wingnut. I've looked at hardware stores but haven't found anything like this and I'm not sure how to articulate what I need.

I recently met someone who told me he'd had to discard all the hard disks and memory chips from his computers due to their being infected by a virus. He'd had to discard graphics cards and even an expensive printer because its internal memory had become corrupted by the virus (rorschach, I think). I had never before heard of permanent damage to hardware from virus infection. Clue me in, please?
