I have a PCI-E SSD as my boot drive, and a win7-created RAID 1 on two 3TB drives. My boot drive has my user folder on it, but my documents, music, pictures, videos, etc folders shortcut to their respectable folders on the RAID. I would like this to be a full redundancy scheme and it is, but I've run into several nags and I would like to know how to fix them and prepare a fix-it plan before any of the drives fails.

I accidentally booted my two mismatched WD SATA AHCI drives in a RAID0 array and now the audio output from the media stored on those drives is static-filled and echoing (when it plays at all). Have I hosed my mp3 collection completely?

My Lightroom catalog is finally hitting the terabyte mark, which means I either need to double what I'm doing now (internal 1TB drive, which is backed up to an external 1TB drive) or something different. Any tips on how to manage large digital image collections?

How can I recover data from two striped RAID drives if the enclosure is not responding? Is it possible to put them inside another enclosure and have it read the striped data correctly?

Tell me about Network Attached Storage ( NAS )? In particular what current manufactuers should I avoid for a typical 1 terabyte (or greater) RAID array? I'm also interested in general information and pitfalls for NAS devices and implementations.

My old computer died (complex, but non-HD-related). I've got a new computer. The old computer had 2 drives in a RAID 0 (striping) setup. Is there a way to get the data off them, assuming no possibility of reviving the old computer? (The new machine does have a RAID controller)

How do I clone a HD in a win2k system? My system's boot hd is a 20g 5400 rpm. I'd like to swap it for a 20 g 7200 rpm which is sitting at the moment in an external firewire enclosure. I also have 150g in an internal RAID array.
