Today, I purchased a new 13" MacBook Pro, model MD101LL/A, which I believe is a June 2012 model. I have an existing, working 13" MacBook Pro from early 2011. Can I just pull the hard drive out of the old one and stick it in the new one, or should I restore from a backup? Also, what are the odds the memory in the old one will work in the new one? Both are Core i5.

Need advice on how to update an older MacBook Pro with a new hard drive. I have a late-2008 MacBook Pro: 2.53 GHz, 320GB hard drive, 8GM RAM (4GB in two slots). My drive is getting full and I don't have the cash at the moment for a brand new laptop. Should I replace the optical drive with a SSD? Or just upgrade the regular hard drive with a new one with 750GB or 1TB?

The New Macbook Pro: Go for the SSD or the ATA?
The SSD drives are much more expensive but supposedly a lot faster than standard ATA drives? Any Macbook Pro owners care to chime in on this?

What's the largest internal hard drive available for a Mac Book Pro? I currently have a 120 ATA drive that came preinstalled when I bought the computer. Preferably, I'd like to be able to have two internal hard drives, swapping out my DVD drive...I know that the MCE OptiBay Hard Drive 160gb/5400rpm is available, but I'd like something bigger!
