Why is my wireless router WZR-HP-G300NH not mounting my USB External HD?
I'm trying to access my Western Digital My Passport SE external hard drive through the wifi connection on the router. I have it plugged into the USB port on the router and it is powering on, but not mounting.
What have I done wrong?
How can I get this to work?
Does anyone know how to go about accessing the hard drive files once it is mounting properly?
I'll be using my MacBook to access the files and would like to stream my movies wirelessly from the external HD. [more inside]

Before I partake in a spree at Newegg, I'd like to know: Can I plug a USB wireless adapter like this one into the back of an external hard drive, then access the hard drive with my laptop over my wi-fi network?

I want a wireless hard drive that has a usb slave function so that I can link it manaully to both my laptop and tv, and also back up movies/pics wirelessly to the drive.
I've looked around and something like this is difficult to buy (I had to return a bufallo media station becuase it was USB master). Can anyone recommend something please

What is the best wireless external hard drive and connection method? I intend this hard drive to be my music library for iTunes. I am trying to free up memory but still want iTunes to function like it does when the music is on the computer's hard drive. Is this possible? I have a macbook pro intel duo.
