Do you have any good home remedies for hair loss in women? I have noticed that my hairline is receding somewhat. My part looks a bit wider and you just see a bit more of my scalp generally. I cannot identify a cause but it happened over the course of 4-8 months. I eat a good diet with plenty of protein (eggs, etc.). Thyroid tests normal. I have noticed a bit more hairs shed in the shower, but nothing that unusual. No hairs on the pillow, but some on the floor. Scalp okay but a bit of dandruff. I have been using a new hair color but I can't imagine it would cause my hair to fall out at the roots when rest of it is long and healthy looking. The loss is mostly at the temples and top third of my head. I used to have A LOT of hair. Any suggestions or home remedies are welcome!
I have always had fine hair and not enough of it. Now I seem to be balding. [more inside]
Asking for more aesthetic advise, not medical. My dark brown hair is wavy and about 6 inches past my shoulder blades, and falling out at a rapid pace. Is there a cut or color I should get to help make it look less startling? Or just invest in lots of hats? Or maybe there are hair accessories I can buy that sort of cover up the crown? Advice is most appreciated. [more inside]
I am a man with thinning hair. I have full hair coverage on my hair but my scalp is very shiny where my hair is a bit thinner and it makes me self conscious. I googled how to stop head shine but everything I am seeing relates to fully bald heads. Any tips on how to stop the shine when you still have hair? Thanks!!

My shoulder length hair fully covers my head. I can't easily see my scalp. But I was looking at photos of myself from a few years ago, and I can't help but feel like there's just less there. Every single time I run my hands through my hair, a few strands come out, and when I comb my hair or shower, many strands come out. I have read about how long-haired women constantly shed hair, and I can't quite figure out if my daily hair loss is that kind of normal loss, or accelerating into something more. How can I determine which one it is?
Due to unfortunate medical circumstances I am losing most of my (head not body) hair. I can't decide what to do about it! [more inside]
Hello. Can anyone recommend a doctor in the NYC area that specializes in female hair thinning? Thanks!

I'm in my mid-twenties, and have a substantially thinning crescent shaped area on the crown of my head, though my hairline at the front is fine. What should I do with my hair? Is a #1 buzz cut the only way forward? [more inside]
I'm a mid-20s male who recently noticed some hair loss around the time I stopped taking the anti-depressant Remeron. Some online research tells me that hair loss is a fairly rare but not unheard-of side effect of this medication. How can I tell if my hair loss is actually from the medication, and how long does it typically take to start seeing new hair growth after stopping such a medication? [more inside]
What can cause very rapid thinning and receding hair other than genetics? Is this unusual for my age?

On the one hand, my hair smells (I think because I wash it everyday). On the other hand, I dont want to go bald trying to fix the problem (ie. stopping washing it everyday which I think is keeping my follicles from dying off). [more inside]
