Looking for first- or second-hand expereinces with no!no! hair removal

There's a new version of the no!no! hair removal system, so I'm taking another stab at asking the hive mind for their opinion. The question was asked back in 2008 and 2004; back then it was new and pretty unknown and now the usual online sources have as many good reviews as bad. Five years later, I'm hoping there are enough MeFites that have tried it to get a better sense of how well it works. [more inside]

Where in UK/ Western Europe can I get my curly hair cut?

Hi all, I have long caucasian wavy-curly hair, and I'm looking for a stylist who really understands (ideally specialises in) curly hair. Someone who can work with the natural texture and not expect I'm going to straighten it or blow-dry it (complete masochism in a rainy climate...) I'm willing to travel for a good cut so can anyone recommend me a stylist or a salon in London, Paris, Brussels, Amsterdam....?

Go ahead, rub it in... to hair.

I have managed to reach the age of forty-mumble with no idea how to deal with hair-care products. I shampoo regularly (Head and Shoulders for the dandruff works fine), keep my hair fairly short (but not buzzcut, because my head looks stupid when the hair is too short), and sometimes blow it dry, but all this other stuff - pomade, hair spray, the stuff the salons call 'product' is beyond me. Where can I go to find out about how to use them? [more inside]

I don't get why aestheticians like their jobs!

I have finally worked up enough nerve to try getting a brazilian wax. It's not the pain; it's the privacy issue. My appointment is booked. I've been to gynos etc. Why does this seem different? I just can't get past the idea that the waxers must think it's a yucky job. But then, I think to myself, why did they end up in that job? Do people actually LIKE waxing other people's genitals?
