So I'm pretty much not looking for a suit on craigslist anymore, right?

I have a very very niche job. I've been doing it for over ten years now and have made about $28,000 per year. Because of my experience, I was called in for a meet and greet. It was going to lead nowhere. So, I pretty much blew it off, and blew the next one off, and showed up to the third because it was on my way home. They hired me and gave me a job that pays about $786,000 per year. I was told that they had reservations about me and told me they were bothered by the fact that I wore "denim with unpatched holes" at the interview. I didn't even think I was being considered. This is very unreal. And now I will have a job that pays me more in my bimonthly check than my last year's entire gross. I will be working with a different clientele, and my position will have more prestige than previously. So how do I dress? [more inside]

Good Alt hair stylist in Bloomington, IN?

I just moved back to my hometown after being away for a couple decades. Are there any good alternative stylists around these days? All I've been able to find so far are trendy salons with stylists who don't really listen to me and leave me with soccer mom hair (which is great if that's what you like but it's not what I'm looking for.) Difficulty: neon hair with very difficult to work with texture and thickness combo. Thanks in advance!

What should I do with my hair

Not happy with my hair lately. I'm having lots of breakage which turns to frizziness if it's not flat ironed. I am a low maintenance person but I like having long hair. It's just past my shoulders and is naturally dirty blonde and lately I have gotten some grey. It is mostly straight but has a slight wave. (Female, early 30s) [more inside]

How much hair loss is normal for a 30 year old woman on a regular basis?

My shoulder length hair fully covers my head. I can't easily see my scalp. But I was looking at photos of myself from a few years ago, and I can't help but feel like there's just less there. Every single time I run my hands through my hair, a few strands come out, and when I comb my hair or shower, many strands come out. I have read about how long-haired women constantly shed hair, and I can't quite figure out if my daily hair loss is that kind of normal loss, or accelerating into something more. How can I determine which one it is?

Maybe I am a headband person?

While straightening my apartment last week I came across a cute headband. I've had it since I was five (haven't worn headbands since I was, oh, probably about six) but have held onto it because I like it. Anyway, for the last few days I've been thinking: perhaps I would like to wear headbands? I don't know, can you help me find cool head bands? Let's find out. [more inside]

How do I hair?

I've been cutting my own hair for a couple of years - I have no hair cutting skills, I hack at it with a pair of scissors until it doesn't flop into my eyes anymore. During that time I've been a student, and now I've just finished uni, and started thinking that maybe before I start volunteering/going to job interviews where I'll need to make a good impression, I should get a professional to have a go at it. What mousse should I use for my hair?

I have thin, curly, short hair. I used to use Redken Fresh Curls Spring Mousse and it worked beautifully on me. It wasn't sticky, it didn't crunch up my hair and I was able to apply it, let my hair air-dry, and my curls would form, essentially frizz-free (in Florida's humid environment!) and look great. But now, Redken has discontinued that mousse. What can I replace it with? [more inside]

Help me not snake the drain every day

My shower has a flat drain cover that looks like this. I have a lot of hair that of course falls out when I take a shower. I wanted to get a hair catch for the drain to prevent clogs, but all the ones I can find at Home Depot have a little cup which won't work. Also, the drain cover doesn't appear to be easy to remove, as there are no screws on the top (I'm a renter, so I don't want to pry it off or anything). Do you have any ideas of what I can use instead (and how to attach it)? Some kind of mesh that would withstand daily showering?

Help me find the correct blade for my hair clipper

I made this ask mefi question earlier, and got my SO this 5 star Rapid Fire Variable Speed heavy Duty hair Clipper Professional 8233 as a present.  He loves it but complains that it doesn't cut short enough.  The smallest guard it comes with is the "no guard" size 1 pictured here.  I'd like to get him one which cuts much shorter (under 1mm), but there are so many different kinds, labeled 50,40, or 000 or 0000 and some for animals, and some for 5star series but that don't list the 5 star rapid fire.  Can someone please find a site where I can buythe correct one online and have it shipped to him in Europe that is the exact correct fitting blade for his clipper? thanks a lot
