Battle.net account hacked. Reaction: Apathy or Urgency?

I have a Diablo III license. I beat the game a couple months ago and haven't been on at all since then. So recently I have received a few emails from Blizzard Entertainment (noreply@blizzard.com) containing links which seem legit (going to: https://us.battle.net/account/support/password-reset.html) which I (stupidly?) have ignored up until now. Hacked Instagram account; can my friend get justice?

A fellow aspiring entrepreneur and friend of mine is in desperate need of help. Time is of the essence! Here's the story: Two years ago he created his own business that sells custom hand-made clothes and products. He owns a website and is on all of the normal social media. One of his most effective tools to connect with customers is through instagram. He's worked hard over the years to develop a fan base of over 27K followers. Mysteriously, last night this account was hacked. They changed the password, hacked the business email, and have taken control of the brand. This account is the business' main source of revenue and advertisement. Although he's trademarked the company and taken all the normal preventative measures, the admin. at instagram claims there's nothing they can do to help. Assuming this is true, what are his available options? Essentially, my friend's ship just got hijacked by some evil bastards and he's going to need a seal team to get it back. [more inside]

Ethical to use a hacked account on COD Ghosts?

Me and 3 friends were matchmade (not invited) into a hacked Dominion match on COD Ghosts for x360, and now all of our quad profiles, including locked ones, are max prestige. I've reported the incident thoroughly -- is it okay to play this way, having done all that? [more inside]

How was a fake SMS message sent from an iPhone? Was it hacked?

Last night my sister claims her iPhone received a text and somehow her phone replied to the text. Neither the sender nor my sister sent the message. Both of them own iPhones and were dining together in a restaurant when the messages were sent. My sister hadn't noticed the text exchange until this morning. [more inside]

Where's that virus?

Father-in-law's got hacked/virus. He's been sending out one-link emails to all his contacts. I went into his webmail for him and changed his password to something a little more secure - but his contacts aren't stored there (and neither's his sent mail), so it's got to be his machine, right? But I've done the full Deezil and found absolutely nothing. Not a sausage. So, where can this little nasty be hiding? He's running 64-bit Windows 7 with an up-to-date Norton AV. His mail client is windows Live Mail.

Weird stuff in mail logs. Was my server hacked?

Did my email get hacked? What to do now?

I think my old email just got hacked. I received some spam, from my old email address itself, (and the "From" part had my name and email, even though I didn't send it, as the spammer did) and about a dozen "unable to deliver" messages from my old email's "mailer daemon" (this is on yahoo). In those messages and the email that was successfully delivered to me on the old email and my newer accounts, it lists countless numbers of other people and contacts, including high school teachers, bosses, family, friends, potential employers, and even friends of exes. Most of these people aren't even in my contacts list, but I still have emails from them/to them (this is an old but relatively recent email that I've kept for nostalgic reasons). I am mortified that all of these people, none of whom I've spoken to recently in at least the past couple of years (and in some cases, longer), got this spam from "me" out of the blue. Should I delete this email address, in case it may be compromised by a hacker? Should I email these people to apologize, even though we no longer are in touch? I have already changed the password and don't know what to do. Any help would be so appreciated. [more inside]

Mr. All-knowing Super-hacker/psychologist Mefite, I need your help securing our IRC conversations...

Some really important info was leaked from our private IRC channel on our own server. Luckily, it was something that most people wouldn't believe without real proof, which the leaker didn't really have. So we're glad to have not been in a real shit-hit-the-fan situation yet. What happened with my cell phone Saturday night?

Did someone hack my cell phone or somehow use my number? Do I need to worry about my phone being compromised or something?
