Is there a way to solicit responses to weekly queries in a way that would allow a tabulation of the responses without allowing anyone else to see another individual's answers? Difficulty level -- working for the federal government so have to do this within sharepoint and/or using excel spreadsheet. [more inside]
I am leading a reminiscence group at the skilled nursing facility where I work and am looking for topics for the residents to discuss. Participants in the group are generally pretty cognitively intact and were born between 1925 and 1935. So far we've talked about where they were born (what it was like at the time and how it's changed), favorite trips they've taken, memories about historic events during their lifetime (D-Day, President Kennedy shot, etc.), and favorite foods growing up, but I'm looking for more ideas about things to discuss. Looking for more housing/rooming sites to post to in NYC! [more inside]
I've been playing music with four others, and I communicate well with all of them, except one. It's getting to the point where I'm stressing about it, feeling apprehensive and sad, and ultimately walking on eggshells around the guy. I want things to get better, but I'm concerned our difficulties communicating on a day-to-day basis will be an obstacle in actually starting a conversation about how to improve things between us. Basically I now work for a decentralized company and I want somewhere for all of us to post our general creative ideas to be shared. Like a blog. But NOT open to the world, just to the people IN the company. AND where everyone has posting abilities. Is such a thing possible?
My company has been using Skype as a chat (1-1, Group), voice (1-1, Group), and occasional video group chat app. Screen sharing is also used occasionally. The problem is, it doesn't do any of those things particularly well, with tons of dropped calls / dropouts, lack of a directory of group chats, poor quality screen sharing. [more inside]
I just submitted a group paper. Hours before I ran it through a plagiarism checker, turns out two (!) of the group members had directly copy and pasted sentences from accademic articles into our paper. In total, no more than five sentences were plagiarized These sentences were cited but not quoted directly. I informed all group members who seemed unconcerned...Is this a big deal? Is it worth reporting? (Fwiw, I edited their work before submitting a final copy)

So I'm trying to find examples of cultures/peoples/ethnicities/religions that are significantly dissimilar to the main city/culture/groups that surround them. Like finding a group of Amish people in Detroit. Or the one someone gave me of the significant Hasidic population in the scantily clad nightlife world of South Beach. What other current examples are there in the USA and Canada of unexpected groups in unexpected places?
I'm a few months out from having my first kid. I'll be staying home to care for the child for at least the first year, and the thing that scares me the most is how many parents who did the same thing report feelings of isolation and loneliness. How can I minimize this in my life? [more inside]

I used to use and love an iOS app called GroupShot that helped you magically combine the good parts of multiple photos into one to help fix issues like when people don't smile or accidentally blink or when they aren't all looking at the camera at the same time. The app no longer works right and I can't find any others like it! Anyone know of any other apps out there that do that? [more inside]

We are getting married and we want to have mini pinata-type things on each table at the reception (11 big tables). We want to put some fun stuff in the pinata (like glow sticks for later on) - including - some sort of activity. We want people to break open the pinata and then have to do something as a table. Not terrible or terrifying, very fun. 5-10 minutes. But what? What are your ideas for fun activities they can do? ALSO, what else should we put in the pinata that is fun and (ahem) cheap? Thank you!
Cooking for a group of 12 foodies whilst on vacation, three of whom are strict vegetarians. The other 9 people have expressed the desire not to eat vegetarian food all week. So I'm looking for entree recipes that A: can have meat added on separately at the end, but are also satisfying sans meat B: are easy to make for a large group aka not very time-intensive/time-sensitive/complicated and C: are super-duper tasty. Unimaginative casseroles aren't going to cut it, here. Difficulty: no appliances available other than stove and a BBQ.
I'm looking for an affordable restaurant that could accommodate a group of 10 on Saturday night for a birthday party. Ideally in a neighborhood in NYC with solid nearby nightlife. [more inside]
Hey guys. I'm looking for a platform to share and organize readings for my study group online. I'd basically like to create a private library that each group member can access, add to, amend, and comment on. I would like to be able to tag and group PDFs around particular topics. I was thinking of a platform like Wikia, but I feel this may be a bit much. Does anyone have any suggestions?

I have been running a Facebook group since 2012 and I got a grant to do research with the findings from it. I need to download the group's postings and responses into a table and thinking the most reliable way to do so is with SQL. However, I have only just started with SQL and although I have found some ideas on Github for doing it, have no idea how to get started with pulling the information. I am seeking advice and possible alternatives. Can you help?

Considerations are: availability of private or semi-private space that can accomodate 40-50 people, relatively inexpensive catering menu, and a huge bonus would be something that offers outdoor/rooftop space. I need tips for leading a group of about 30 youth, ages 11 to 18, in singing (hymns, contemporary Christian, camp songs, et cetera). Looking for ideas of Books that would be relatively fast reads and entertaining for group readings. I got the opportunity to participate in a reading of Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas this past weekend in Aspen in celebration of the Good Doctor's 75th. It was a blast and would love to recreate that without doing the same book, but that book is perfect. A friend recommended my favorite book Confederacy of Dunces, but I think that book works because of the Character of Ignatius which may be hard to pull off in an aloud reading. But anyways, any ideas?
