Is it possible to export pictures from Microsoft Word documents? I need to re-color a graphic that's been inserted into a Microsoft Word 2003 document. Unfortunately, that is the only copy I have of the graphic. Word doesn't seem to provide a way to color over graphics. Even getting it into Paint would work fine--but first I need to get it there. Am I screwed?

What's the best stock photo site (including pay sites)? Along the lines of this question
, I'm looking for a high-quality site that offers royalty-free stock photos. I'm looking for basic corporate techie stuff for an IT government (read:not-for-profit) web site - people working at a laptop, servers and wiring shot from cool angles, etc. The previous question brought up some good free stuff, but what about pay sites such as Corbis? I'd really like some sort of subscription-based setup instead of paying a la carte for each photo (if that even exists).

Mac Font question: I am doing some home tech support for an elderly couple, and they're looking for a symbol/dingbat sort of font that draws frame/table elements (corners, etc.).
I know I have seen fonts just like this but can't for the life of me remember what they might be called. If you can think of the names and/or give a link to a free download, I would appreciate it. [more inside]

PC performance issues. 1) Is it a good idea to fill up all 3 of my DIMM slots, when my motherboard manual says that the max speed will be DDR 200 instead of DDR 400? The motherboard is an ASUS K8V SE Deluxe.
2) How do I best identify the bottlenecked hardware component that's causing framerate jerkiness e.g. when playing Oblivion (e.g. RAM, processor, AGP card)?

We're buying a new laptop for my wife tomorrow to replace her aging desktop. The only thing she'll use it for is to digitally scrapbook. The only program she'll use really is Photoshop CS2. Is it worth it to pay the extra to get a laptop with a real graphics card or will things work just as well with an motherboard solution such as the Intel 950 that uses your RAM to fuel it? Right now we're leaning towards the HP dv9207us. We'd like to know if it's overkill or with one of the 700$ specials you always see with motherboard built-in graphics work just as well? Help?

We installed XP x64, and can't find drivers for our video card, NVIDIA GeForce 4 Ti 4600. There are drivers for older cards and new cards, but not our card. A lot of the sites claiming to have the drivers are lying, and have maybe pasted in the inf for the 32-bit drivers by mistake. Is there any way I can make this work?

Lobby slideshow, compose on Mac, run on Windows? One of my tasks where I work is to create slideshows that runs 24/7 on a large plasma screen in our lobby, which has a windows box attached to it. Previously, I did it in a Windows program called ProShow Gold. The slideshow could be saved as an executable, dumped in the startup menu, put on a loop, and I had the machine automated to shutdown at night and start back up in the morning.
My issue now is that I'm getting a mac for my computer at work. The lobby slideshow will still be run on the windows box. I know how to do create slideshows in iPhoto on the Mac (and would prefer to do so), but however I create these things, they will still have to be run on this Windows Box.
Can I generate something on the Mac that will work like the slideshows I generated in ProShow (that I can just put in the startup menu of the Windows box, and that will automatically start when the machine boots up everyday and run fullscreen all day on a loop)?

About twenty years ago I borrowed a book from a local library.I cannot remember either the exact title or author and the library do not have a record of my borrowings. It was a newly published large/thick coffee table hardback book filled with rather kitsch and brightly coloured religious pictures created by the author. As far as I can recall she was a Eastern European Catholic nun/sister whose name was used in the title. As in 'The Thoughts of Sister X'.It would make an old man very happy if he could track down this obscure volume.

I have searched and searched online for American Indian art to no avail. More specifically - I'm looking for the kind of bold clip art (thick lines) or logo-type of art associated or signifying with each of the following: Shawnee, Lakotas, Iroquois, Ojibwe, Cahokia, Cherokee - animal art is fine as well. Are there any symbols of the same type of art that might relate to law or justice??. Am I looking for something that doesn't exist? Thanks in advance for any help!!!

I'm not talking about unusual graphics, odd graphics formats, I'm talking about regular GIFs or JPGs. I use Internet Explorer version 6, if that helps. I would appreciate any/all tips! Thank you.
