For you tech nerds - do you see it more worthwhile to invest in the new MacBooks or rely on Airs, with extra drives/support for doing occasional video and gfx work? Where is the future headed.

Do I
really have to replace the motherboard? My computer is showing no display and I think I've ruled out everything except the motherboard. Changing that is obviously expensive and time-consuming, so please tell me if I'm missing anything!

I bought the ATI Sapphire HD 3870 a couple of months ago. I was especially stoked about the HDMI out feature that would allow me to play audio from my DVD receiver (Samsung HTQ80T/XAA). Well it does that but, the resolution is blurry. Changing the display quality on the pc doesn't help. My PC is connected to the HDMI IN on the receiver and the HDMI OUT on the receiver is connected to my monitor. DVD's look fine but the PC looks horrid. Not sure if it's the Home theater, or the card. Any Ideas as to what I can do about this? thanks.

This week an organization I work with is running a big, high energy (iPhone and Wii giveaways, the whole 9 yards) event geared towards high-school students. I'm tasked with organizing some of the creative/design aspects of it, but I've hit a few dead ends, specifically in the area of what I would call ambient video.

Help! I have five-ish hours to locate, download, and burn some source of psychedelic imagery/video for a friends' show in Seattle. Think Electric Sheep, only less screensaver, more burnable to dvd.

I'm doing a mini-research project on wireframe graphics in gaming. What are the definitive wireframe games? I know about Tempest, I know about Battlezone, and I know about the Star Wars Cockpit Arcade game. What other titles should I add to my list?
