here's a cute drawing of someone banging their head against the desk

I have been making greeting cards and would like to sell them. I have been doing rubber stamp and scrapbook paper stuff so far, but started looking for graphics I could print and incorporate. My google is failing me. It looks like shutterstock has great images, but even with the enhanced license, I cannot use them on things I will sell (unless i'm misreading what i find there). I'm getting really confused and getting a headache reading fine print everywhere and I must not be finding the right blogs or using the right words. Where do I find images (illustrations and graphics, NOT photos) that I can download, print, and use on my stuff that I will sell? [more inside]

Should I get discrete graphics option on a new MacBook Pro?

I'm in the market for a new 15-inch MacBook Pro. I'll be maxing out the RAM and flash storage. Should I spend an additional $100 to get the model with discrete graphics? Would there be any benefit at all from doing that? Or will the integrated Intel Iris Pro Graphics be sufficient? The discrete graphics option is an NVIDIA GeForce GT 750M with 2GB of GDDR5 memory. Spooky ghost menus in Windows~~~

WindowsExorcismFilter: Seemingly out of the blue, I've started having an issue wherein elements from dropdown/contextual menus in Windows 7 sometimes graphically "hang around" like little Windows ghosts (see bottom right corner). I haven't been able to determine any clear pattern that explains why they sometimes appear. For some reason, they go away if I switch between my monitor and my laptop screen. I've tried installing newer graphics drivers, updating Windows, checking for viruses/trojans, et cetera, but have obviously not solved the issue yet. What's going on here, and how do I get rid of it?

How to make Photoshop manage colors less stupidly on a Mac

I’m trying to get Adobe Photoshop CS3 on Snow Leopard to show me the colors I expect. I’m using it to do some basic color selection, which will ultimately be pasted into a Python script that generates data graphics for use on the web. Part of my workflow involves screen captures from a browser that get round-tripped through Photoshop and into code, so I need basic RGB hex values to stay consistent through the process. What are some good, non-battery-draining iPhone/iPod Touch games?

A good-graphics lappy that's cheap but not crappy?

Help set me up: I am looking to buy my son a laptop. An inexpensive laptop. It should have a strong enough graphics card to run, say, MineCraft and other games/video smoothly; should have a webcam. Otherwise, it will be used for general schoolwork and internetting, and maybe some light music recording. Screen size is not important, so small displays are OK. So: new or used? Or buy a cheap one and upgrade the graphics card? What specs should I aim for? Any sources/sites that are better for finding good deals? I am wishing to find something for $200--am I wishing too hard? Thanks!!

My roommate is trying to build a computer on the cheap, giving me the perfect opportunity to sell him my BFG NVIDIA GeForce 9800 GT and purchase a nicer graphics card. Web graphics and ads filter?

Web filter filter: I seem to remember a link to an NYT article that just contained the full text of the article in nice big letters, with no graphics, banners, or ads. It was fully attributed, with links to the original, but it was much more pleasant to read, especially for a long article. Is there a website that will filter out the clutter and provide links that can be forwarded?
