What is the best way to use Adobe CS to chop an illustration into multiple graphic files that can later be recombined by software to recreate the original illustration? [more inside]

I would like to make some photographs look more like cartoons or illustrations in Fireworks (or Photoshop if necessary). Anyone have some tips on getting this accomplished? I have Fireworks 8 on my machine and access to Photoshop CS2 at school if worse comes to worse. [more inside]

Help me learn to create semi-transparent PNGs for use on the web. Those I'm creating in Macromedia's Fireworks don't seem to work in IE -- even when I use the appropriate IE-specific image filters. [more inside]

In Fireworks it's a one-click process to export an image slice individually (ie. right-click and select "export selected slice"). Is is possible to do the same thing quickly using Adobe ImageReady? [more inside]
