Looking to identify a French BD

Years ago (2011), I read a graphic novel in France that I would like to find again. It was in color, decently big in print size, and featured this white liquid that would create statues(?) as it dried in-motion. Someone dipped themselves into a pool of the liquid, jumped from a tall height, and behind them was a statue trail of them falling. Unfortunately that's all I can remember; does this ring any bells for anyone?

Comic with dolphin in exosuit

Trying to remember a comic or graphic novel that my kids read several years ago that featured a princess, flying sailing ships and a sentient dolphin that wore a "water suit" that looked like a space suit, with robotic legs that were controlled by the dolphin's mind. [more inside]

Please help me find a vaguely-remembered graphic novel

I'm trying to help a friend find a graphic novel he read years ago and would like to re-read. Here's what he remembers: There were three volumes, each a large (8 x 12) soft cover book of around 100 pages (about an inch thick). There was no indication that they were published in serial form previous to these volumes, which were probably published in the mid 90's. The art was simple and unadorned, pen and ink, and mostly in regular equal square frames. The story was a real-world fantasy about spiritual awakening, but it was not religious and there were no battles; it was a story about a seeker finding himself. The title may have included the word Journey and the author/artist may have a name like Wasserman (though I've googled the hell out of those two details and had no luck.)

Please help me identify this comic

Can you identify this comic/graphic novel? Coming-of-age type story about a girl who is gay, Canadian, has a degree in (I think) ceramics or something else she doesn't use, and makes ends barely-sort-of meet by working as a bike messenger until some art or writing starts to pay off. It was likely autobiographical or partly so. Looked like it was written and set anywhere from the late 80s to mid 90s. I believe it was offline originally, but put online maybe ten or so years ago. Need practical advice on lettering a graphic novel book project.

The illustrations have already been drawn on card stock and inked, for an actual, physical project inspired by this kind of handmade "star book" design... but now it's time to tackle the lettering. Are there any good, professional ways of doing it without hand lettering everything? If so, can you link to examples / tutorials? Or is hand lettering the only good option available? (Scanning the illustrations, adding lettering, and reprinting is not an option.)

Recently introduced my generally-not-graphic-novel-reading sweet babboo to Sandman and she was quite taken with it. Written and illustrated doubly

I'd like examples of a certain kind of work, which surely must exist: a nonfiction narrative, either typeset or handlettered in columns, set against, or surrounded by, artwork in the margins which tells a parallel story (not the same) in graphic-narrative fashion. The closest thing I can think of is Lynda Barry's What It Is. [more inside]

Where is this batman panel from?

There's a Batman panel I have a clear, but possibly flawed memory of.. where is it from?

Likely written well after, but taking place shortly after The Killing Joke, I have a clear image of Barbara Gordon, in the hospital, talking to Batman (or possibly Bruce Wayne), realizing she'll never walk again, never be batgirl again, that this incident has derailed her entire planned existence, and essentially saying something to the effect of "I've heard when the police pulled up, you were standing there laughing with the man who did this to me, and I wanted to know.. were you laughing at me?" Where is this from? It can't just be in my head, can it?

Is that the ending, or did I lose a page?

I got Kyle Baker's King David graphic novel from the library. In this copy, the very last panel is of David and Bathsheeba discussing their son's breathing. Is this really the end, or have previous patrons depaged the book? I can see it as a very somber, elliptical ending, but that's not really Baker's style, to me.
