George Washington University has a Masters in Professional Studies in Political Management. Great, except for being a Masters in Professional Studies. I want to do an MA or MS degree with classes in political management, speechwriting, and fundraising. Any other places you can suggest that are in the DC Metro/Northeast USA area?

Can you tell me about graduate programs in higher education administration that focus on leadership and administration of vocational/applied sciences colleges (like Hogescholen or polytechnic universities) and applied arts institutes (like California College of the Arts or the Birmingham Institute of Art and Design)? I've been out of work for a number of years, by choice, staying at home to raise my kids. I have a Bachelor's in Education with a minor in English from back in 19mumblemumbleyear, and even if it were up-to-date, my life has taken a different turn, and I don't feel that teaching is for me any more. With this kind of background, if I don't teach, I am pretty much, as one of my English teachers once put it, an "educated un-employable." What further education do I need to be taken seriously as I re-enter the workforce? [more inside]
