GPX Visualization on Google Maps
: I have 300+ GPX files of bike rides that I'd like to be able to link to somehow over a Google Maps
base layer, visually approximating this
. This is related to my previous AskMe
about cycling every road in a town; I need to visualize what roads I have/haven't ridden, and link that progress to a blog. Would like it to be as low-weight as possible; the 300 (uncompressed) GPX files amount to 100+mb currently (route+track+waypoints) and is only getting larger -- vanilla GMaps doesn't play nice with that many files. Much more information inside... [more inside]

For the past year I've been trying to bike down every street in St Louis. In the beginning this was easy and wide-open and fun. The middle has been less so. Now, sitting at ≈65% completion [map: zoomable | 1.5mb png | GPX]
my current approach has become overwhelming and tedious
, and is no longer working; I need to get way smarter about this. How would a programmer, a mathematician, or a GIS/transit specialist approach this endgame, and what tools/software would he/she use? [more inside]

Since I'm semiretired now, I've offered to help our local land conservancy plan, map, and develop a new preserve just a mile from my home. One of the tasks will be to map all existing trails and roads on the property. The staff at the conservancy asked that they receive the files in a GPX format.
Soooo... I'm looking for an iPhone GPS app (I'm using a 4s running 6.1.2) that will allow me to: Map a hike, indicate and name multiple waypoints, and export the hike as a GPX file. It would also be great if I could attach geotagged photos within the app.
Any suggestions? And, if anyone has any experience with this type of activity, is there any function that I'm not thinking of that would be useful? Thanks much!

I have some .GPX/.CSV MyTracks
GPS files that I would like to use to create distance-time graphs. I can do this using GPS Visualizer
but this creates the graphs for me and what I want is the raw data.
Is there a website, program or script (Linux or Windows) that will allow me to do this? [more inside]

Any iFilm experts that can help me with this?
Basically...how do you add data to a movie dvd so it
1. Plays in a DVD player and
2. Has the data accessible on a computer....data consists of gps - gpx files, pdf, and .mov files.
I again bow to the hive mind with great thanks, and a six pack of warm Blatz.

I have almost a year's worth of GPS track logs. I'd like to be able to automatically split them by trip type (walking, biking, car) and filter out some of the noise that gets generated when leaving the GPS on while stationary. [more inside]
