I get google drive document invites sent to my work email, and I can't access them through my gmail account, even though I've successfully linked the two addresses in my primary google account. Any ideas?

Would the Chromebook be right for me as a writing device? I'm looking to replace my old netbook I use for writing with something more swish and it looks to fit the bill, however I'm not a Google Docs user - how easy is it to transition to from using OpenOffice/Word? How well does the local storage/offline working option work? How easy is it to export Word files and how well does formatting carry over? Is there anything else i need to know?

I like to write using google docs. I used to have a functioning bookmark that was a one-step to new doc solution, which I loved, because it was simple, and efficient. Some time ago that bookmark stopped working, and now it's a matter of several mouse clicks. This is a very small matter, but if someone has a one step solution they care to share, well, that would be delightful.

I'm helping someone setup google apps for a small biz. Already signed up for google apps and bought the domain name through google (enom.com). Need help building a document repo out of GDocs and redirecting the main domain (example.com and www.example.com) to a website hosted on an outside hosting server.

Please recommend for me a new search tool to replace Google Desktop. Ideally I want something that searches the full text of all files, that covers everything on my hard drive plus Google Docs. I want it to be fast, offer results in context, and have a simple interface that offers 'sort by relevance' and 'sort by date.' I use Ubuntu.
