Our team is virtual and uses Google Calendar to see free/busy time between co-workers. One of our VPs loathes Google Calendar and instead uses Outlook (2010 on her laptop/2013 on her desktop). How can I get her Google Calendar to show up with two-way sync in Outlook so she doesn't have to use Chrome-native Google Calendar but we can still see her meetings? Complication below... More of my coworkers and friends are moving (finally!) to using Google Calendar to invite people to events and figure out optimal schedules for everyone. However, when copying events, I'm apparently stuck with my first (default) calendar. How do I change that? [more inside]
My company recently decided to move everyone from Outlook to Google Apps. Now a lot of people who are used to Outlook (and MS Office) in all things are being hit with a new environment. It's going okay, but I've volunteered to give a short presentation on how to make the most of the new tools, since I have a lot of experience using them for my personal stuff. Can folks suggest good online resources either for me to mine for tips, or to hand out to users for their own reference later? [more inside]
My iPhone keeps buzzing with a calendar alert that does not have a reminder set. Help me turn it off! [more inside]
How can I better organize my schedule through better use of my work and personal calendars across platforms? My primary calendar at work is through Outlook/Exchange, but for personal correspondence I use gmail/google calendar, mostly accessed through my iphone or a browser on my mac. Right now I am just inviting Work Email Address Me and Personal Email Address Me to events (like meeting invitees) but perhaps there is a better way. Suggestions of articles/resources to help me figure this out also welcome! [more inside]
I'm looking for an Android calendar app with specific functionality when it comes to creating and marking off tasks. In short, I want to be able to create a task and have it repeat each day or weekly (and preferably still allow me to mark the task as complete each day or week). This is to facilitate making and meeting daily and weekly goals. Does such an app exist? What is it called? [more inside]
Here's what I want Google Calendar to do: I want it to show any event details with a simple mouseover on the event, instead of a mouseover just showing the title of the event. As it is now, to see details I have to click and scroll down to the Description field, which is clunky and sucky. Is there a way to make a mouseover happen?
On my iPod Touch, I use the Calendar app, which is synced to my Google Calendar (which is Google Apps for Education, if that matters.) I like having a reminder/alert for most events that occurs 10 minutes before the event. (It has saved my bacon a couple of times when I forgot an appointment, and I find it useful for keeping me on track during the day.) However, I do not want to hear an alert at 11:50 PM before All-Day events. [more inside]
When Mr. Corpse and I were both using iCal I could send him an invitation to an event; if he accepted it it blocked off the time in his calendar. Now that he's switched to Google Calendar this system doesn't work. [more inside]
I have a Google Calendar with one of Hal Higdon's half marathon training schedules, and I'm a day off. I've been a day off for weeks. I'd like to adjust the calendar rather than my life. How can I adjust the events by one day all at once? I am happy to import or export, etc as necessary. It's such a small thing but it's driving me crazy.
I have several different calendar accounts that I use on my iPhone, 1 personal Google Calendar, an Exchange account for my primary job, and another GCal that my part time job uses to dispatch technician jobs to me. My part time job uses this calendar to schedule calls, so as it stands now I have to manually block out anything that I schedule on my other calendars so that they don't double book me. How can I create a setup where if I enter something on one of my calendars it will mark me as busy during that time? I don't want to have to create every event 3 times, and I don't want full synchronization as I don't want personal details and business information where other people can see it.
I would like to set up a randomly reoccurring weekly event in my calendar -- either Outlook or Google -- such that it repeats every work week (M-F) between the hours of 9-5, but randomly. In other words, I want it to be at 1 pm on Monday one week, then 10 am on Friday of the following week, etc. Is there a quick and easy way to do this or must I set up a reoccurring event and then go through each week moving the appointment to what feels like a random time?

I use Google Calendar, which I access either on iCal (Lion), my iPhone 4 (running iOS 5.01) and my iPad 2 (also running iOS 5.01). Sometimes, randomly, events I add to my calendar in iCal do not show up on my iPad or iPhone. However, when I go to Settings on the iOS devices, select "Mail, Contacts, and Calendars" and turn my Google Calendars off and then on again, everything works fine, and all events show up on all devices. How can I avoid having to manually do this, and have things just work. [more inside]
