I tried to "clear" a selected portion of my Google Desktop Scratch Pad, and it cleared the entire contents. I can't figure out any way to restore it ("undo" didn't do anything, and there's very little documentation).
I have some hope, because Google describes the Scratch Pad as "automatically" saving as you type. But has it saved over whatever file it uses with a blank slate now?

Argh! Gmail image spam!
I'm getting 20 of these a day. Since Google has failed to filter these messages, is there a workaround I can use? Also, would simply deleting these messages rather than marking them as spam reduce the possibility of false positives?

Where can one find a comprehensive list of all sites that mirror (and I do mean mirror as in full mirror
, not mirror as in quote from) Wikipedia, Wikibooks, Wikiquote, Wiktionary, and other such content?
I'm in a Wikipedia-expunging mood and wish to program the CustomizeGoogle Firefox extension to ignore the Wikipedia/Wikiquote/Wikibooks/Wikiwhatever/Wikikitchensink Wikisexguide monolith.
make this thread into an inquiry as to why I'm doing this. I'm just realizing that doing this piecemeal as they come up could take me forever.)

It's been months now and I still can't find a synchronization solution for Google Calendar / iCal (or palm desktop) / Palm Pilot. The very fact that it's taken so long is making me suspect that there's some technical issue that makes it actually not possible. Is this correct? Is there a solution out there to sync (push data both ways) my google calendar with my palm pilot?

I want to create a map, marking every town I've ever been to on my travels around Australia and the world. I have a pin-board at home where I've done this, but it would be cool to create an online version. In this Web 2.oh world, what's the best Google Maps hack to use to achieve this? Note that I don't want to write the code to do this through the API myself - I'm just looking for a site that lets me easily place markers on my own personal Google Map, and associate some very basic information with each marker.

Are there any web based calendars/task management programs that will sync with Outlook or straight to my Pocket PC? I got Sunbird syncing but after using it a while I switched back to Outlook, but I really like the idea of using something like Google Calendar, Backpack or iCommit when I'm at work or at school. I’ve thought about an exchange server account somewhere, but all the places I looked seemed to be pretty pricy for a student budget. Any suggestions?

If I plot directions on Google Maps between two places it works well, except that one of the places is actually a few 100m away (enough to throw people off). Is there a way for me to correct this? Replot the position? Are there other services that might be of better use? [more inside]

I am enjoying using Google Calendar, but I still love my DayRunner. I would really like to be able to print out monthly and/or weekly calendars with the gcal information, but in a 8.5"x5.5" DayRunner format, complete with word wrapping so I can read each event.
