Is it possible to run a google search with an exact phrase and multiple variables? I'd like to see if a fixed search term (an exact phrase) returns any results when paired with a number of variables. I have approximately 200 variables and rather than run 200 seperate searches, would it be possible to run the search in one go? Something along the lines of "exact phrase" AND ( n1 OR n2 OR n3...). The variables will be exact phrases as well.

Hi, My website (rather, blog) used to show up in Google search on the 1st page itself when using certain keywords. Now it has slipped to 3rd/4th page. The same keyword search in Yahoo shows my website in the 1st page itself. I want to understand the sudden reason why my website has been 'demoted' by Google page rankings, and how can I bring it back to 1st page for specific keywords. [more inside]

How does Google run their data centers? I remember watching a Q&A with someone at Google trying to recruit kids at a college. One of them asked what kind of hardware they run on, he responded that they buy commodity rack servers off rackservers.com (I forget the exact generic domain he gave). Does this mean they use cheap rack servers with direct-attached storage? How does this work? [more inside]

Where can one find a comprehensive list of all sites that mirror (and I do mean mirror as in full mirror, not mirror as in quote from) Wikipedia, Wikibooks, Wikiquote, Wiktionary, and other such content? I'm in a Wikipedia-expunging mood and wish to program the CustomizeGoogle Firefox extension to ignore the Wikipedia/Wikiquote/Wikibooks/Wikiwhatever/Wikikitchensink Wikisexguide monolith. (Let's not make this thread into an inquiry as to why I'm doing this. I'm just realizing that doing this piecemeal as they come up could take me forever.)

HtAccessFilter: I’m seeking regular expressions to describe URLs that encompass search engines’ image and video search engines, but not the engines themselves, so that I can block said image and video search engines using “SetEnvIfNoCase Referer” in .htaccess. Also, I’m also seeking to block all incoming requests for one particular URL which is popular with these video and image search engines but which no longer exists – but I don’t want to serve them the normal 404.
