Let's say someone (anyone) made a fortune in the early 18th century - would it be possible to track their fortune over time to see where it is in the present day? I can imagine this being relatively simple if the money just stayed in the family, but what if you wanted to track the fortunes made during something like the Gold Rush?

A relative reently died and left me a bunch of gold coins. Some "real" coins (minted by governments) and a bunch of Franklin Mint specimens. I can find lots of plaecs that tell me the price if I can want to buy them, but nowhere to find out what they are worth to sell. Can someone recommend a reputable dealer in the Toronto area where I can take tham?

I'm familiar with
Genesis 2:11-12 which briefly mentions the existence of gold in the area surrounding the Garden of Eden. But are there any other ancient references, be they apocryphal, Talmudic, or in folklore, that links Eden with some sort of material treasure?

The gold-coin contents of the cliche' pirate/dungeon treasure chest, how much would that be worth today? Assume a stereotypical treasure chest, knee high to an adult, filled with gold escudos in excellent condition. How much would the chest and contents sell for? Could you sell it?

Has anyone come across a 4-cassette series released by McDonalds in 1987? The series was called "Rockin' Gold". Two of the cassettes were called Lovin' Gold and Summer Classics. If you can help me locate a listing of the tracks (oldies like Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow) then I can reconstruct this great playlist. Thanks!

I'm getting married in San Diego in the middle of February. I will have a short span of time to acquire a wedding band in a city I know nothing about. Do you have an suggestions where I might find a non-jeweled, yellow-gold, vintage, possibly deco-period, wedding band?

I would like to buy two gold chains, one 20" to wear with a gold locket, and one 10" to wear with a gold swan charm as an ankle bracelet. I could also buy one 30" chain and have it cut in two. I'd like real 14k gold, not plate. I've been looking online, and some of the gold jewelry dealers strike me as sketchy. Has anyone bought gold jewelry successfully online for a reasonable price, and where did you do so?

This ring turned up at my deceased grandmother's house and no one recognized it. General consensus was that it looked like a man's ring from the 1970s. The band/base appears to be gold and the design appears to be rose gold. Can anyone recognize the design or shed any light on this?

Let's say rather than sell them back to a coin dealer or other similar entity, I exchange gold or silver or platinum for a service or good or something other than currency, what are the tax implications?

There's this local ad i've seen several times in chicago, a black midget (dwarf? Little person?) wants to sell her gold, but is going to the wrong place. The Mr. T comes a long, picks her up and takes her to a different gold seller, which is apparently better. The ad ends with her happily counting a large stack of money.
Please tell me what this ad is for and where I can watch it at my leisure. I can't find it on youtube or google video.
