I use Google Calendar. My colleague uses Outlook. Whenever he re-schedules a calendar event, I just get an email with the old event time. Help?! [more inside]
My company recently decided to move everyone from Outlook to Google Apps. Now a lot of people who are used to Outlook (and MS Office) in all things are being hit with a new environment. It's going okay, but I've volunteered to give a short presentation on how to make the most of the new tools, since I have a lot of experience using them for my personal stuff. Can folks suggest good online resources either for me to mine for tips, or to hand out to users for their own reference later? [more inside]
I have Gmail old calendars from an old workplace on my iPhone that it all of a sudden revived and seems steadfastly opposed to allowing me to remove. They're no longer there when I open my Gmail calendars in my browser, but I've unlinked and relinked my Gmail account to my iPhone and they're still there, driving me fucking crazy with hourly reminders about shit I will never have to do again. Please help me restore sanity. [more inside]
I am finally going to stop using a paper calendar and start using my laptop/iPhone/iPad instead. However, having used ol' reliable paper for so many years, I'm a bit paranoid about using Google calendar (or an app) and then losing all my data somehow... Is there an iPhone/iPad calendar app that would make me feel more "secure," or is there a service like Backupify that doesn't require a Google Apps account? I'd love to back up my Gmail too, if possible. (Am I just worrying too much? Is using iCloud enough? I am clearly clueless.)
[I am old/paranoid/a special snowflake filter] I am a Mac person. I have mostly avoided google products in my life, and am not eager for google to know everything about me. I just got a Nexus S (because it was the free option). How can I use my phone most effectively for email and calendars/reminders? [Lots of tedious old person details inside] [more inside]
Google calendar idiot here. How do I sync iPhone to google calendar, not the other way around and why is someone else's calendar appearing in my google calendar online? [more inside]
This morning about 108 gmail inbox messages vanished. I can find them under "all mail" but i don't know they would leave the inbox. Also, someone's been trying to add an event to my google calendar, with no success. are these two things related? is there evidence of a hack? thank you.

After three great years my Google Calendar has simply stopped sending me email notifications. I have tried the help page here and many unhelpful forum posts here. This seems to be a prevalent problem. I wish I could switch to something else but Gmail is what I use heart and soul for work. Any others solved this problem? I am all ears. Thanks for your time.
