I need to wear glasses all the time for my job (and for seeing things in general). Unfortunately, they broke the day before Christmas, and, while I have repaired them, they're pretty unsightly. The only way I could replace them in the near future would be to order a pair online. However, I have kind of a small head and am apprehensive about not being able to try frames on before purchasing them. How have you folks done with ordering glasses online that fit comfortably? Where should I order from? [more inside]
I've been wearing glasses nearly my entire life, and own many pairs of prescription glasses. Since I wear glasses every day and have been doing so for so long, my various frames are as much fashion accessories as vision correction. But they pretty much just sit in hard-shell cases in my drawer, and I've been thinking that I'd like to have them displayed on my dresser in a way that lets me see all of them at once, like a jewelry display. Can you recommend a creative way to display my prescription glasses (currently 8 pairs in frequent rotation) on my dresser top? DIY and store-bought options both welcome. Complication: glasses are front-heavy, because I am extremely visually impaired, and will topple over if left open and set down themselves on a flat surface.

do you have a take on the quality/appeal of Mont Blanc for accessories like eyewear, wallets, etc? I seem to be running organically into recommendations for this brand as I find myself unable to afford the top makers in a category but I don't want to end up in a situation where I've gotten something that's neither reasonably priced nor extra-nice but ended up spending a chunk of money on no-man's land in between.
What kind of eyeglass frames would best suit my face? Any suggestions for color/style/shape/frame size would be much appreciated. [more inside]

A couple of years ago, I tried on a pair of women's eyeglasses with very light pink thickish rectangular frames at Lenscrafters. The arms were also fairly thick. I believe they were DKNY or Donna Karan. They also came in black. Can you help me find them? [more inside]
Glasses filter. I bought my frames at Lenscrafters, but had the prescription filled, and the lenses put in the frames, by a doctor in my hometown. The lenses are the progressive type. My doctor mailed the finished glasses back, and left the markings on the lenses which help with adjusting and fitting the lenses the first time. After the first time fitting you erase the markings with acetone. Can I trust Lenscrafters to fit and adjust these? [more inside]
I saw the most beautiful pair of glasses today. They looked great on me and were a perfect fit when I tried them on. The only problem was they belonged to a stranger on the street. [more inside]
