This is for all of the green thumb mefites out there. I am looking for unique seeds to give as a gift to a friend who lives in southeastern Alabama. She is an advanced gardener with a degree in horticulture, so it should be something rewarding, but with a bit of a challenge I think. She
enjoys interesting flowers as well as food goods. Any good suggestions?

Do you have any cool or unique "gift certificate" ideas in the $10-30 range? These are for my employees -- I like gifts they can personalize and/or order on their own, but a bit more creative than an iTunes or Amazon GC.

I wanted to get some cupcakes delivered as a gift, but that's too highly dependent on when somebody is home to receive them. And flowers are too boring. What other sort of cool, lovely gift could I send somebody? (For ordering online, and this is in Australia.)

My father-in-law may have pocketed part of a gift intended for my husband and his brother. But then again, maybe not! How can I navigate this situation with maximum tact and minimal drama? And more concretely, how does one write a thank-you note that gracefully specifies the exact amount of the gift?

We're giving our niece an old iPhone 3G to use as an iPod Touch. What do we need to do?
I restored it, which seemed to have deleted everything. Took out the SIM card. Looks like it works fine. The only hitch is that the device still thinks it's a phone with phone app icon. And when connected to iTunes it shows my wife's phone number. I think this is only an aesthetic issue. Doesn't bother me that our niece knows her aunt's phone number. Are there any other issues to consider? Will a SIM card be needed for future updates? Should I attempt jail breaking? It's running the latest iOS, for better or worse.

Mission Impossible? Christmas gifts for wife with a zero dollar budget. Due to my current unemployment, Mrs COD and myself have agreed that we will not spend a single dime on each other for Christmas. We did spend a little so that the kids have a few things to unwrap. However, having nothing under the tree just seems so depressing. Anybody have any creative ideas?
