With our daughter having been in a couple of classes at her day care this year, and there being several floating carers who also take care of her, we're not sure how best to tip. Do we need to gift everyone the same or can we weight some teachers if they've spent more time with our daughter?

Suggest delicious homemade edible gifts, yet again! Difficulty: specifically looking for (relatively) shelf-stable and mail-able recipes.

Two part question: 1) What attractive, low-fuss, preferably holiday-themed sweet can I make in bulk this weekend, and 2) what would be a creative and attractive packing solution for these said sweets?

For Christmas this year I would love to give my family food-of-the-month type gifts from places like
Murrays and
Zingermans, but those places don't deliver to Canada, where most of my family members live. Can you recommend really great subscription/gift food that's either Canada-based, or delivers to Canada?

In previous years I've made a
lot of cookies to give away to friends and family around the holidays. This year I'd like to do something a little different, but still make it a gift of food.

It's holiday gift time, and once again I am presented with the problem of trying to send something to my in-laws on another continent. Usually, I spend a couple months shopping for tiny items that I can mail to the Netherlands for as much as I paid for them. Today it dawned on me...there must be an easier way! Please post your great online resources for sending gifts to Europe.

(not cookies) food gifts. I'd like some recipes for not too expensive, not too hard to make, but stunning food gifts that are easy to package and give away for the holidays. Got any gems you'd be willing to share?
