My two-year-old is insistent that we should give his aunt (my sister) an ice cream cake for her birthday on Sunday. Does one of Seattle's many specialty ice cream shops deliver to the Atlantic/Pratt Park area near downtown? I almost found success with
Gelatiamo, but they only deliver to businesses. Her birthday is Sunday, but delivery tomorrow or Saturday would be fine, too, of course.

For work reasons, I'm spending this week far from home, which means I'm going to miss my girlfriend's birthday tomorrow. Boo! We're going to make up for it when I get home, but I still want to mark the occasion by having something delivered to her at work. The obvious choice is flowers, of course. But can you suggest something else romantic and sweet that would be less obvious? Something I can arrange remotely and have delivered to an office in Herndon, Va. tomorrow?

Need suggestions for a romantic gift idea that can be ordered online and delivered in the East Bay (SF) area, this afternoon. Caveat: there needs to be little trace left of it by 6 pm, so flowers are out. I know it's the last minute but the situation only recently emerged.

I've got a friend from Chicago unexpectedly laid up at George Washington University Hospital in D.C. I'd like to get her something besides flowers, and have it delivered. Any suggestions? While I'll entertain suggestions about interesting gifts, what I'm really wondering about is the delivery aspect. Is there a Kozmo-like service still running in DC? Is there a, I don't know, bookstore that makes house calls? etc. I know I could try to use a taxi/courier service, but that seems like more trouble than it's worth to do remotely.
