I just recently moved to Atlanta (yay) and have been doing some gardening (aside: fellow atlanta mefi-ers please say hi, i need friends here!)
Anyway, in pruning the honeysuckle bush outside our place, i found that about half of the plant is entangled in what looks to be some kind of
invasive vine whose leaves look like this. I've cut most of it out of the plant now but I'd like to know what it is and what i should be doing to keep it away. I also see it growing up the side of the house a little.
Please dont tell me its poison something because i 've been rubbing my hands on it all morning.

How can I find out whether or not my mortgage company is ripping me off? I thought about something like a "forensic audit" but I see via Google that that is the hot new scam, and I don't want to be taken for a ride (twice). I am not looking to modify my loan or get out of my mortgage, I just want to make sure that my payments (for which I pretty much always pay extra) are being applied correctly.

Anyone from Georgia around (not the one in the south - the one in the Caucasus). I am fascinated by
this Georgian folk song, which I think is somehow related to
this piece by Tsintsadze because the melody structure seem a little similar and (I think) they share a name, "sachidao". That's all I know, and I really like this song. If you're Georgian, or just happen to know Georgian folk music, can you tell me more about it?

I have a family member who won a case in the Georgia court system. It was a well articulated case that a competitor was engaging in predatory business practices that affected a large group of business owners of a particular type of business. The court agreed, and an appeals court declined to hear the appeal. However, another appeal was made to the Georgia Supreme Court. I'm thinking about relocating to Savannah, Georgia in a few months to stay for probs a year or so. My background is in advertising and art and also office admin and plenty of retail, customer service and food service - a little bit of everything.
Anyway, I was wondering about cost of living and if it's a cool city to stay in (loved it when I was there) and job prospects. I'm prepping a portfolio to apply to fashion school next fall so I'm looking for a good place to go. Love big cities but they seem to be a massive drain on the bank account (too many awesome rock shows!), but I'm not opposed. Mostly I need a place where I can afford a live/work situation so I can get the artwork done.
Any other recommendations for hip / inspiring / artistic / progressive / bike and walk friendly (no car) cities are welcome.
Female, mid-20s and tired of the Midwest. :)

Even after living 2+ years in Georgia (the state, not the country) I find it strange that most people answer the question "Where are you from" with their home
county. Coming from the west coast, it seems weird to refer to anything but hometown or general region (so. cal, bay area, etc..) I know GA has like 150 counties (the second most of any state, after Texas), so counties aren't that big. Is this just a Georgia thing? Southern thing? Descendents of convicts thing? What?
