I'm a gadget geek about to have my first baby. What tech do I now have an excuse to get that might help make things easier or even more fun? [more inside]

I have a PC - CPU tower with one VGA port, a DVI port and few USB ports. And I cannot open this to add any cards, corp policy. And two monitors with just VGA ports. Is it possible to setup a dual monitor? - one extending to another not a splitter with mirror image in two monitors Please help.

What "top n techie" lists do you know of? I'm specifically after lists of the movers and shakers in the tech scene, rather than the cutest a la Violet Blue, but hottest geek lists are also interesting. I'm not bothered about time frame - I'd like to see lists from top geeks of 2009 to top geeks of all time.

MS Excel Problem: CAN ANYONE PLEASE HELP? I am a very average PC user having unable to open spreadsheets. I borrowed a copy of MS Office Professional from a friend, but it did not install Excel properly. I no longer have access to those installation CDs. Whenever I try to open a spreadsheet, it prompts me for the CD's. So I bought Excel 97, installed it fine, but still when I try o open a spreadsheet it automatically tries to open it with the XP Professional version... How so I get around this to just use the Excel 97 version now on my computer??
