I'd like to play the board game Clue either through a web browser or an iPad/iPhone app. Ideally I could play against a friend or friends where we sign in/sign up and AI fills in as the other players as needed. If the playing-against-friends part isn't possible, then playing against random people online or AI would be fine. I've seen a Clue game on the App Store, but it's "Clue" in name only, not the actual board game. Maybe there's a Clue ripoff somewhere that follows the same room/weapon/character whodunit format? Any recommendations? Thanks in advance.

Help me find an article that appeared in Rolling Stone magazine a few years ago (maybe 2004?) about a special and very exclusive "game." It was an annual adventure game where participants paid the entry fee (maybe $10K) and went from place to place looking for clues that would lead to the next location. [more inside]
