My sister loves playing co-op shooters. Can you recommend any? Our systems are the PS2, and a PC running Windows XP that was middle-of-the-road 3-5 years ago (so no Army of Two, thank you). Freeware/shareware/indie are great, but so are huge blockbusters. It just needs to have as long, good, co-op section.

I'm searching for little games playable over a network. Little games as Tetrinet,, so if it's over 30 MB, it's way over the charts. So what do you suggest?

I'm looking for a free web-based Flash game that I used to play. You're a miner in a cave, throwing pickaxes at colored blocks that advance towards you. You get points for hitting groups of blocks that are the same color, which also removes them and makes the blocks above them drop down.

I'm looking for a battle strategy game in the tradition of the Myth series (or the old-school game "Siege"). Interested in troop movement and in-battle tactics, NOT maintaining economy/resources, spawning units, buildings, etc. (Warcraft didn't interest me when I tried it many years ago). [more inside]

I fondly remember an arcade game from my childhood at the local junk-food kiosk, but I can not remember the name. I have tried to search Google, but I have not found anything.
The game, as I remember it, was a side-scrolling shoot ‘em up. You flew planes (1 player or 2 players) and on the ground beneath you dinosaurs where actively trying to kill you with their prehistoric might.

Schoolyard game identification: Everyone gathers around one spot, and one player bounces/throws a playground ball as high as they can (and shouts the name of the game?). While the ball is in the air, everyone else runs out from the center. When the person in the center catches the ball, they shout, "Stop!" and everyone has to hold their place. Then the person in the middle tries to hit someone with the ball. What game is this, and what are the rest of the rules?

There was a game I played in elementary school which we called "Pomp." At my school we had a sand field. Weird, I know. One guy would stand in front of everybody and yell "Pomp" and then everybody'd charge towards the other side of the sand and the 'pomp'-yelling guy would try to tackle somebody. Kind of a smearthequeer thing. [more inside]

Where can I find a dictionary of words spelled backwards, listed in alphabetical order, preferably accessible via WWW? This kind of book used to be a common tool for cryptographers back before everything was done by machine, but I'm not a spook; I just like Oulipo-style wordplay. I used to know what this was called, but no longer do, and have googled "reverse dictionary", "backwards dictionary", "yranoitcid", and many more terms with no success.
Suggestions for similar dictionaries, such as ones in which all the letters of the words are sorted alphabetically (mouse->emosu) are also welcome. Thanks.
