I am getting a Tablet for work, either a Nexus 10 or an iPad. I'm pretty well versed on the features and drawbacks for both, and I feel like if my other devices were either all Apple or all Google/Windows I'd make the choice based on matching my current device operating system ecosystem. BUT right now, each device I use has a different OS, so is there a better device to match my tablet operating system with?

Voyager 1 just left the solar system. I know we're unable to control trajectory at this point, but I'm curious what the next body it will encounter will be, and when, on its present course.

Took a seemingly bricked Samsung Galaxy Nexus to one of those repair shops. They "unbricked" it, but the thing seems useless. No Play Store on it, you can't set up a Google account... details inside. The shop says they don't know how to undo what they did. A way to salvage?

I have a samsung galaxy s3 and he has a samsung galaxy note. What we want is sowhen one of us opens his or her diary, we see a combined diary showing his and my items in the same view. We don't need to edit each other's diaries necessarily, we just want to know when a shared workspace has been booked by the other so wedont double book it. How should we do this, s calendar doesnt seem to do it, is there a google calendar way of doing it perhaps?

I am looking for advice on finding the best smart phone deals. I have an old clamshell phone. I need very little for myself...not even texting though want the occasional use of apps. I am currently moving to Denver and may switch from AT&T though my wireless and phones are bundled and very cheap ($90/mo for our two cheap phones and wireless for home though that would change *a lot* with upgrades?). I am really confused on what the hell is a decent deal. I don't make many calls whatsoever but my wife will be calling family or perhaps using Face Time/Messaging via an iPhone if we can afford. We don't need the newest and best phones but am not sure where to start for packaging costs, especially as we may do wireless separate once we get to Denver. Any thoughts on how you would go about this, where you would buy a phone (new or refurb), deals that have worked for you (assuming you don't use the phone for a lot but still want the options of some of the apps). iPhone? Samsung? Razr? Carriers recommendations? I want to go as low $ as possible but not make a stupid decision out of pinching the hell out of the pennies.

Aside from a barometer app, what are some cool things I can do with my Samsung/Google Galaxy Nexus and it's built in barometer? Any app recommendations, something more than just logging the changes in pressure? Has anyone figured out any interesting new uses for this sensor?

I have a Samsung Galaxy S2 phone. I use it to listen to music. But the music player is set up to include a brief gap between each track. This is particularly a nuisance when I'm listening to albums with segued tracks (such as live albums). How can I set it up so there are no gaps between tracks?

I'm trying to find this passage from The Hitch Hiker's Guide to the Galaxy, where there's this person who's so fed up with everything in the universe, that he travels the entire cosmos, telling each and every one of its inhabitants that he, or she, or it - is an idiot.
The passage describes how he met Arthur Dent.
Thank you.
