Is there a way to make one universal desktop/dashboard for both Mac and Windows? [more inside]

I just bought a Garmin Forerunner 205. I love it, it's neat, wow, awesome. But I use an Apple and the software isn't compatible. Can someone walk me through how I can get my PowerBook to recognize the unit (and download the data) when I plug it in via USB and if there are any programs I can use that are similar to the "Training Center" software included?

What's the best cell phone I can buy right now in the United States that will sync with a Mac? I have some specific wants and am totally perplexed by the world of cell phones. [more inside]

Yes, I know that the m:robe 100 isn't *officially* Mac compatible, but it's so sweet looking (fine, fine: "pretty"), that I'm sure somebody has hacked it together to work for the finer 10% of computer users out there... Has anybody had any luck with using the m:robe 100 on a Mac running (specifically) OS X.4.1?
